Farming all the materials for Varesa in Varesa’s kit in Genshin Impact also feeds off her usage of Plunging Attacks, as she can gain points through them and enter a special state.
This special state, called Fiery ion, then enables her to deal more damage and even use a special version of her Elemental Burst, which consumes less Energy than her regular Burst activation. Her Skill even allows her to use a Charged Attack without consuming stamina, which means she gets a free Plunging Attack. To unlock her powers, however, you have to level up the character and her abilities, and that starts with obtaining the correct items. Most of Varesa’s materials in Genshin Impact could be pre-farmed, but with her official reveal, it’s now necessary to farm everything that was missing.
Ascension Materials To Farm For Varesa In Genshin Impact
Two Items Couldn’t Be Pre-Farmed For The Electro Character
To start things off, you’ll need to gather the Ascension materials for Varesa, which will then allow you to get her to level 90. The first set of items you should gather for Varesa is composed of the Vajrada Amethyst stones. These Electro-exclusive materials drop from bosses related to Electro, such as Thunder Manifestation, Tenebrous Papilla, Secret Source Automaton: Configuration Device, Millennial Pearl Seahorse, Childe, and Raiden Shogun’s boss form. Unfortunately, there is no way of overlapping these materials’ farming efforts with any of Varesa’s materials dropped from bosses in Genshin Impact.
The table below lists all the materials needed for Varesa’s complete Ascension, divided by level threshold and condensed at the end:

When it comes to world boss materials for Varesa’s Ascension, the 5-star Electro character uses one called Sparkless Statue Core. This item is among those that could not be pre-farmed prior to her release, as it also arrived in Version 5.5. Sparkless Statue Core drops exclusively from the Lava Dragon Statue boss, which can be found within the Atoan region in Natlan. Not too many of these are needed, but you’ll need to defeat the Lava Dragon Statue boss in Genshin Impact multiple times to obtain all necessary copies.
Regarding enemy drops, Varesa uses the set composed of Juvenile Fangs, Seasoned Fangs, and Tyrant Fangs that are dropped from Natlan Saurian opponents all across the Nation of Pyro. These drops aren’t always guaranteed, so players will have to find the best farming routes and defeat as many Natlan Saurians as they can. Note that common enemies such as these respawn every 12 hours. On top of being Ascension materials, these Fang items are also used in Varesa’s Talent-leveling process, so you’ll need to farm them abundantly.
Use the official Interactive Map on HoYoLAB and filter out everything but the Natlan Saurians to have an easier time locating them.
The last material among Varesa’s Ascension needs is Skysplit Gembloom. These Skysplit Gemblooms are Local Specialities that appear within the new Atoan region in Natlan, which means they could not be pre-farmed either. Like any other Local Specialty, Skysplit Gemblooms respawn every 48 hours, so it may take you a few days or even weeks to gather all 168 copies, depending on your farming frequency and whether or not you collect all nodes each run. Using Genshin Impact’s Interactive Map is also recommended to better locate them.
To fuel the entire Ascension process, you’ll also need a hefty sum of Mora. To unlock all of the Ascension level thresholds, you’ll spend a total of 420,000 Mora, plus an additional 1,637,400 Mora if you are using Character EXP Materials to level up Varesa. In case you need more Mora, farm Blossom of Wealth activities, preferably within Natlan. This way, you can get extra Mora and still farm more Fang materials, as Natlan Saurians in Genshin Impact are among the enemies that can spawn during these activities.
Talent Materials To Farm For Iansan In Genshin Impact
It May Take You Some Time To Gather All That Is Needed
As was mentioned, Varesa also uses Juvenile Fangs, Seasoned Fangs, and Tyrant Fangs for her Talent-leveling process. In comparison to the number used in her Ascension process, you’ll be consuming a lot more of these Fangs. Aside from farming them regularly from Natlan Saurians, you can also obtain more Fangs from the Stardust Exchange shop in Paimon’s Bargains. When farming materials that are part of an item family, such as these Fangs, don’t forget to use the Alchemy Table in Genshin Impact to transform lower-grade items into rarer ones.
The table below lists all the materials needed to fully upgrade Varesa’s Talents:

Additionally, Varesa also uses the Conflict Talent books. Teachings of Conflict, Guide to Conflict, and Philosophies of Conflict can be farmed in the Blazing Ruins Domain on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. These are some of the most time-consuming materials to farm for Varesa, as you may see yourself repeating this Domain for weeks until you have everything you need. Farming days in Genshin Impact are silly, but while HoYoverse doesn’t address this, players will be stuck in this grueling farming loop.
At higher Talent levels, you will need to use a weekly boss material to continue upgrading Varesa. The Electro character consumes Eroded Scale-Feather, a material that drops exclusively from the Lord of Eroded Primal Flame in Natlan – the issue with weekly boss materials is that their drop isn’t guaranteed. As such, you may challenge the boss one week and not obtain the desired materials, prolonging your farming efforts. You can use a Dream Solvent at an Alchemy Table to transform any of the other Lord of Eroded Primal Flame boss drops into Eroded Scale-Feather in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact Needs One Major Update To Weekly Boss Fights
Farming weekly bosses in Genshin Impact is getting tougher by the minute and a simple update to the system would solve the biggest issue.
The last material Varesa will need for her Ascension is Crown of Insight. Only three are needed – one for each of her upgradable Talents. Crown of Insight is a rare Talent material that can be obtained as a reward from certain limited-time events and reputation systems. You can also purchase one Crown of Insight per month from Paimon’s Bargains if you have enough Masterless Starglitter.
Lastly, you will need a whopping 4,957,500 Mora to upgrade all of Varesa’s Talents to the maximum level. Even though Mora comes from various sources in the game, the best way to farm heavy sums of it is through the Blossom of Wealth activities; and, as expected, complete these activities in Natlan to optimize your Fang-farming efforts, thus saving time and, hopefully, maxing out Varesa in Genshin Impact as soon as possible.
