Using the best builds with Sethos in character in Genshin Impact 4.7.

On the battlefield, Sethos is at his best when he is operating as a main DPS. His affinity with Elemental Mastery makes him a specialist in not only dealing Elemental DMG but triggering powerful Elemental Reactions with the help of his allies. Sethos’ Charged Attack is the best part of his kit, but he needs to have a lot of Energy to speed up his charging process. After you collect all of Sethos’ materials in Genshin Impact and fully level him, you should start thinking about optimizing his build, which can be complicated if you don’t know what to prioritize.

Best Weapons For Sethos (Best Bows)

4-Star Unit Uses Offensive Stats

Genshin Impact's Sethos aims his bow, which swirls with Electro energy.

While Sethos does, in fact, scale off of Elemental Mastery, it is important to build him as a traditional DPS and, as such, find bows for him that boost ATK, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG, but boost Elemental Reaction DMG and, if possible, Elemental Mastery. It is worth noting that bows that boost Charged Attacks also work well with the leader of the Temple of Silence. As such, the best bow for Sethos is Hunter’s Path, Tighnari’s signature 5-star bow.

The table below lists the best builds for Sethos in Genshin Impact, including weapon recommendations, the ideal Artifact set, stats, and more:

Sethos' Best Build In Genshin Impact

Weapon

  1. Hunter's Path (Best 5-star)
  2. Cloudforged (Best 4-star & F2P)
  3. The First Great Magic (Substitute 5-star)
  4. Skyward Harp (Substitute 5-star)
  5. Scion of the Blazing Sun (Substitute 4-star)
  6. Ibis Piercer (Substitute 4-star)
  7. Hamayumi (Substitute 4-star)
  8. The Viridescent Hunt (Substitute 4-star)

Artifact

  1. Wanderer's Troupe (4 pieces - best)
  2. Gilded Dreams (4 pieces - substitute)

Stat Priority

  1. CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
  2. Elemental Mastery
  3. ATK
  4. Electro DMG
  5. Energy Recharge

Skill Priority

  1. Normal Attack
  2. Elemental Burst
  3. Elemental Skill

Hunter’s Path is a superb bow for specialists in Elemental Reactions and is fitting for Sethos since he can be considered a 4-star Electro version of Tighnari. Hunter’s Path offers a 542 base ATK stat (at level 90) but grants a large 44.1% CRIT Rate sub-stat (at level 90). Beyond that, the weapon’s skill offers the a 12% All Elemental DMG Bonus. Additionally, once an opponent is hit with a Charged Attack – part of Sethos’ main rotation – the gets Tireless Hunt. This buff increases Charged Attack DMG by 160% of Elemental Mastery in Genshin Impact.

This stack can only be obtained once every 12 seconds and is removed once the lands 12 Charged Attacks or after 10 seconds.

Seeing Sethos’ entire kit revolves around using his Charged Attack at full Energy capacity to accelerate the charging rate, Hunter’s Path is logically the best bow for him. Another great 5-star alternative for Sethos is The First Great Magic, Lyney’s signature bow. The weapon has a 608 base Attack stat (at level 90) and a powerful 66.2% CRIT DMG sub-stat (at level 90). By equipping it, the gets a 16% buff to DMG caused by Charged Attacks. The downside is that the bow needs more Electro characters on the team to provide ATK bonuses via Gimmick stacks.

Otherwise, the bonus will be directed toward Movement SPD, which is not used by Sethos in combat since his Charged Attack’s second form locks him into place. Nevertheless, the other bonuses are enough to justify The First Great Magic’s usage. If you do not want to use anyone else’s signature bow, you can give Sethos Skyward Harp, a 5-star bow from the regular loot pool. The weapon has great offensive stats and, even if it lacks more specificity around Sethos’ kit in Genshin Impact with Charged Attack buffs, it is worth using.

If you are not using the two first suggested bows, however, it is best if you use the 4-star Cloudforged with Sethos. This new weapon is not only entirely F2P (free-to-play) with Version 4.7, but it can be fully refined. The weapon boasts a suboptimal base Attack stat (510 at level 90) though compensates for it with a huge Elemental Mastery sub-stat (165 at level 90). After the ’s Elemental Energy is decreased, their Elemental Mastery increases by 40 for 18 seconds, up to two stacks – at Refinement level 5, Elemental Mastery increases by 80 in Genshin Impact.

The Battle -exclusive Scion of the Blazing Sun is also a great 4-star bow for Sethos and, in fact, has been featured as his go-to weapon in several promotional videos. It boosts offensive stats and benefits DPS characters who use Charged Attacks with extra damage output. Alternatively, you can also use Ibis Piercer, Hamayumi, and The Viridescent Hunt. There are several good bows for Sethos, from 5-star weapons to 4-stars. Ultimately, all you need are good and solid offensive stats that, if possible, benefit Charged Attacks and increase Elemental Mastery.

Best Team Comps For Sethos

Use Characters To Help With Elemental Reactions

With Sethos as your main DPS, you will want to build a team that prioritizes setting up powerful Elemental Reactions so that Sethos himself can trigger the final blow. As such, it is best if you consider team comps with Aggravate, Hyperbloom, and Overloaded at the forefront. Hyperbloom takes a little while to set up but it is one of the strongest ones around, while the other Reactions are both powerful and easy to activate.

The table below lists a few team comp suggestions for Sethos in Genshin Impact:

Sethos' Best Team Comps In Genshin Impact

Aggravate Team Comp

  • Sethos (Main DPS)
  • Nahida (Dendro Sub-DPS / Enabler)
  • Raiden Shogun (Electro Sub-DPS)
  • Zhongli (Shielder) or Kazuha ()

Hyperbloom Team Comp

  • Sethos (Main DPS)
  • Nahida (Dendro Sub-DPS / Enabler)
  • Raiden Shogun (Electro Sub-DPS)
  • Furina (Hydro Healer / Enabler)

Overloaded Team Comp

  • Sethos (Main DPS)
  • Raiden Shogun (Sub-DPS)
  • Chevreuse (Pyro )
  • Bennett (Pyro Healer / Buffer)

F2P Team Comp

  • Sethos (Main DPS)
  • Collei (Dendro Enabler) or Kirara (Dendro Enabler)
  • Fischl (Electro Sub-DPS)
  • Yaoyao (Dendro Healer / Enabler)

The strategy with Sethos is having him as present as possible on the field, so it is best if the rest of your enablers either do their job very quickly or while off-field. As such, you can exploit the Elements applied to enemies and trigger reactions with Sethos’ Charged Attacks.

Best Artifacts, Stats, & Skill Priority For Sethos

Electro Character Uses Offensive Stats With A Touch Of Elemental Mastery

Genshin Impact's Sethos aims his bow at Treasure Hoarders.

To further boost his capabilities, the best Artifact for Sethos is, indisputably, Wanderer’s Troupe. With four pieces of this set, not only will he gain 80 points of Elemental Mastery, but his Charged Attack DMG will increase by 35% since he wields a bow. Another viable alternative, especially if you want to double down on Elemental Reactions rather than Sethos’ own offensive potential, is Gilded Dreams. All four pieces of this set grant 80 points of Elemental Mastery, and, after Elemental Reactions are triggered, there’s a chance of getting extra Elemental Mastery or ATK depending on the team comp.

The stats you want to look out for when farming whichever of these Artifact sets is a healthy distribution of CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, enough ATK, Elemental Mastery, and Electro DMG. Energy Recharge is also important for Sethos in Genshin Impact, even if his Burst is not as important as his Charged Attacks, having Energy allows him to reach the second stage of his Charged Attack faster.

Because it can be daunting to upgrade all his Talents immediately, it is best if you prioritize the way you level up his abilities. The first order of business is to fully upgrade Sethos’ Normal Attacks, which impact the power of his Charged Attacks. Following that, you will want to boost his Elemental Burst. This is Sethos’ secondary source of damage output and a way of quickly dealing Electro DMG. The last ability to level up is his Elemental Skill.

Building Sethos is not too difficult and, in fact, there are several options for him, from weapons to team comps. He is not the best Electro DPS out there, but he is a very usable character with a lot of potential when it comes to triggering Elemental Reactions, especially with the proper teammates. You only need to make sure Sethos is optimized to work at his best in Genshin Impact.
