A new leak about Madame Ping’s gameplay kit in Xianyun in Genshin Impact.
Madame Ping becoming playable is still under heavy debate, but it does make sense. The Adeptus known as Cloud Retainer, who was initially been presented as a crane-like deity, later had her humanoid form presented – and a year later, was released as Xianyun. Madame Ping’s humanoid version has two forms, one of which is portrayed by a younger character. So far, Streetward Rambler’s human form has only been seen in illustrations, but she could retake that younger form to become a playable character in Genshin Impact since elderly characters are not currently playable.

This One Genshin Impact 5.0 Leak Will Get Me Playing Daily Again
There is a new item mentioned in a Genshin Impact 5.0 leak that shines hope on the solution to the game’s biggest farming and grinding problem.
Madame Ping’s Leaked Kit In Genshin Impact May Feature Plunging Attacks
The Character’s Rumored Skill Seems Connected With Basic Attacks From Above
According to new information by the leaker known as White, which was shared in a post tagged as “Questionable” on Reddit, a portion of Madame Ping’s gameplay kit has been somewhat leaked. As seen in the rumor, Madame Ping’s Skill may be related to Plunging Attacks. This means that, by activating her Skill, she may trigger special effects for Plunging Attacks. At the moment, it is uncertain if she will take to the skies like Xianyun’s Skill or boost other characters’ Plunging Attacks like Xianyun’s Burst in Genshin Impact, for example. Of course, it may be completely different.
Madame Ping’s Leaked Focus On Plunging Attacks My Struggle To Stand Out In Genshin Impact
Plunging Attacks Tend To Be Stuck Within A Mold
However, Plunging Attacks in the game are currently very stuck in their mold, with little variation. Overall, the abilities involving Plunging Attacks tend to allow characters to enhance the power of the strikes and players will then proceed to continuously jump and execute Plunging Attacks. This was first featured with Xiao and then recently buffed with the release of Xianyun, which permitted virtually any character to become a Plunging Attack DPS. Gaming in Genshin Impact is also a Plunging Attack specialist, though his gameplay kit does not stand out too much amidst 5-star units.
The concerning part of Madame Ping’s leak at the moment is the lack of certainty that her gameplay kit’s rumored focus on Plunging Attacks will be varied enough to make her worthwhile. The character may have to offer a varied and powerful form of Plunging Attacks to be worth the pull or, if she is not a DPS herself, have an exclusive type of buff, such as meaningful off-field sub-DPS properties triggered with other characters’ Plunging Attacks. Even so, Madame Ping’s playable form is still at risk of feeling too much like Xianyun or Xiao in Genshin Impact, for example.
The next Lantern Rite Festival should occur in Version 5.4.
While the leaks should be considered with a grain of salt seeing that the information may be incorrect or subject to change, the rumors are that Madame Ping will be released in the update that brings the next Lantern Rite Festival, in early 2025. If this is true, then the details about Madame Ping’s playable form may start to leak even more over the next few months, providing better insight into what she can bring to Genshin Impact’s Plunging Attacks that are currently not yet available.
