Farming all the Ascension and Talent materials for Emilie in Arlecchino in Genshin Impact, for example.

Overall, Emilie is to be treated like a DPS when she is built, though she will quickly be swapped in to use her Skill and Elemental Burst, and then swapped out so that the main DPS – preferably a Pyro DPS – can mix their Elements with her Dendro and trigger continuous reactions. Before being able to unlock Emilie’s potential as a sub-DPS, however, you will need to grind and farm for her materials all across Teyvat to ensure you can Ascend her to level 90 and then level up her most important Talents in Genshin Impact.

Ascension Materials To Farm For Emilie In Genshin Impact

Emilie’s Materials Have Been Available In-Game For A While Now

All of the necessary materials to fully Ascend Emilie have been available in the game for a while, long before the arrival of the character in Phase 2 banners of Version 4.8. As such, you may have a stock of some of the items. One such example, which is needed in her Ascension, is the Nagadus Emerald Ascension family of stones. These Dendro-related items drop exclusively from Dendro-related bosses, like the Dendro Hypostasis, Jadeplume Terrorshroom, and Guardian of Apep’s Oasis in Genshin Impact. You can also use the Alchemy Table to transform other Ascension stones into Nagadus Emerald equivalents.

The table below lists all the materials you will need to fully Ascend Emilie, divided per level threshold, and then compiled at the very end:

  • 6x Nagadus Emerald Gemstone
  • 18x Meshing Gear
  • 30x Mechanical Spur Gear
  • 36x Artificed Dynamic Gear
  • 168x Lakelight Lily
  • 46x Fragment Of A Golden Melody
  • 420,000x Mora
  • 3x Acquaint Fate

The next material you will need is a Local Specialty from the region of Fontaine called Lakelight Lily. As is the case with any Local Specialty in the game, these items only respawn every 48 hours in real life, meaning it could take you a while to gather all 168 Lakelight Lilies that are needed for Emilie’s complete Ascension. There are only 79 Lakelight Lilies nodes in the game, and they are all concentrated in the Erinnyes Forest portion of Fontaine. The best way to optimize your gains is to follow the Lakelight Lily farming route in Genshin Impact.

Another important material needed in Emilie’s Ascension is Fragment of a Golden Melody. This is a boss material dropped exclusively from the Legatus Golem boss, located in Petrichor. You will need a total of 46 copies of Fragment of a Golden Melody, which means you will likely be facing the Legatus Golem in Genshin Impact multiple times, especially if you get unlucky with its unstable drop rates.

To beat this boss, which is also called The Statue of Marble and Brass, more efficiently, be sure to bring a Geo or claymore character, both of which can quickly break its shield and allow it to sustain true and unprotected damage.

The last set of materials you will need to complete Emilie’s full Ascension is Meshing Gear, Mechanical Spur Gear, and Artificed Dynamic Gear. These three materials drop from Clockwork Meka opponents all across Fontaine, both above ground and underwater. These are, objectively, the easiest materials to farm, but you will need a large amount of them both for her Ascension and for her Talents, so be sure to eliminate and loot Clockwork Meka opponents in Genshin Impact whenever you get the chance.

Of course, to fuel all of the Ascension stages, you will need a grand total of 420 thousand Mora, not considering the extra Mora and Character EXP materials you need to level Emilie between each Ascension threshold. This can be an expensive and time-consuming process. You can farm both Mora and Character EXP materials at Blossoms of Wealth and Blossoms of Revelation Ley Line activities across all the available Nations of Teyvat in Genshin Impact.

Materials For Emilie’s Talents (Abilities) In Genshin Impact

Farming Materials For Emilie’s Talents May Require Grinding & Patience

Genshin Impact's Emilie extends her polearm to the side in Sumeru.

In addition to the materials used in her Ascension, you will need to start leveling up her active abilities, in case you want her to perform better in combat – even if off-field. As was previously mentioned, Meshing Gear, Mechanical Spur Gear, and Artificed Dynamic Gear are the overlapping materials from her Ascension that are also needed to upgrade her abilities. You can optimize your Clockwork Meka farming route by using the official interactive map on HoYoLAB.

The table below lists all of Emilie’s materials in Genshin Impact, which will allow you to max out her three active skills:

Guide to Order

  • 63x

Philosophies of Order

  • 114x

Meshing Gear

  • 18x

Mechanical Spur Gear

Artificed Dynamic Gear

  • 93x

Silken Feather

  • 18x

Crown of Insight

Mora

Emilie uses the Order Talent books from Fontaine to increase the power of her abilities. For reference, these are the same Talent books used by Arlecchino, meaning you may already have a stock of leftovers. The Order books mainly drop from the Pale Forgotten Glory Domain, exclusively on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. You can also acquire them from chests and the Parametric Transformer, though the Domain is the best farming source for Order books for Emilie’s Talents in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact: How To Unlock & Beat The Knave Boss Fight (Best Team Comps)

Beating the Knave can be challenging, but there are tips, strategies, and team comps to defeat this boss in Genshin Impact with more ease.

The weekly boss material Emilie consumes for her Talents is Silken Feather, one of the three items dropped from the Knave boss challenge. Only 18 Silken Feathers are needed to completely level up all three of Emilie’s Talents, but given the uncertainty of the dropped and the weekly limitations on this type of boss challenge, it may take you a while to get everything you need.

In case you drop other Knave materials, you can use the Alchemy Table to transform Fading Candle or Denial and Judgment and a copy of Dream Solvent into Silken Feather.

To top off each of Emilie’s Talents, you will need a Crown of Insight. These items are mostly farmed from limited-time activities and offering systems. Lastly, you will also need a huge amount of Mora to get through all the Talent upgrades. This is a very expensive process that can set you back, but be sure to farm Mora at Blossoms of Wealth whenever needed. With Emilie fully Ascended and her Talents leveled up in Genshin Impact, you can start fine-tuning her build to transform her into a destructive sub-DPS.
