New Escoffier in Genshin Impact, as well as Ifa’s playable version following his debut as an NPC.
Now, with the start of the Version 5.7 beta tests, a lot of the attention is shifting toward the next patch. The update’s leaks have already detailed a portion of the content, such as Skirk’s and Dahlia’s respective gameplay kits. Skirk is expected to be a 5-star Cryo DPS focused on Freeze teams, while leaks indicate that Dahlia may be a disappointing 4-star Hydro shielder for team comps. The Genshin Impact 5.7 character banners have also leaked, hinting at three highly awaited rerun characters who may finally get their dedicated limited-time banners.
Genshin Impact 5.7's Spiral Abyss Floor 12 Lineup Has Leaked
Several Tough Enemies Can Be Expected
Although characters are often the most discussed part of leaks, other aspects of the patch have also been shared, and they may be equally important. According to information provided by the leaker known as HomDGCat, who accurately leaked the character banner structure for Version 5.6, the enemy lineup for the Spiral Abyss’ Floor 12 challenge in Version 5.7 has been revealed. The leak was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit. As seen in the leak, the Secret Source Automaton: Overseer Device boss in Genshin Impact will be the opponent featured in the first half’s first chamber.

Genshin Impact 5.7 Leaks Show Dahlia Buffs, But That Can't Save The Character
New Genshin Impact 5.7 leaks show Dahlia is getting a buff to his shields, but that may not be enough to save the character from his fated doom.
During the second half’s first chamber, players may face a Wayward Hermetic Spiritspeaker. In the first half’s second chamber, the leak highlights a Ruin Guard, a Ruin Grader, and an Arithmetic Enhancer Mek, while the second half’s second chamber features an Eremite Stone Enchanter, a Biting-Cold Wayob Manifestation, and an Eroding Avatar of Lava. The leak reports that the first half’s third chamber features a Rock-Cavernous Wayob Manifestation and a Thundering Wayob Manifestation, while the second half’s third chamber puts players against a Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King in Genshin Impact. The leak also shows how much HP these enemies have.
You'll Need A Proper Strategy To Beat Spiral Abyss Floor 12 In Genshin Impact 5.7
Defeating Enemies In The Correct Order May Be Vital For Your Success
While the leaked enemy lineup for Version 5.7’s Spiral Abyss in Floor 12 is helpful so that players can prepare their team comps, it’s also necessary to take into consideration the buffs that each half will have. According to the leak, the first half challenges will increase the Cryo DMG dealt by all party by 75%, while the second half fights will increase all party ’ Nightsoul-aligned DMG by 75%. Furthermore, the leak reports that Floor 12 will see players release a shockwave when a character triggers a Cryo-related reaction, dealing True DMG to nearby opponents.
This shows HoYoverse’s continuous effort to maintain the Cryo meta in Genshin Impact.
Coinciding with her release in Version 5.7, it’s logical that the ideal team comp for the first half challenges, so as to take advantage of the increased buff, is to use Skirk, a Cryo DPS. Aided by the proper teammates, possibly Escoffier, Furina, and Shenhe, for example, Skirk’s kit will deal a lot more damage to enemies because of Floor 12’s leaked buffs, possibly making her indispensable, unless players choose to use Wriothesley in Genshin Impact, which is a very viable possibility. However, even so, players may need to pay attention to the strategy they use in the Spiral Abyss.
According to the leak, the two Wayobs in the first half’s third chamber are placed extremely far apart from one another, and it’s nearly impossible to attack both enemies at once. While they charge their Ultimate abilities, they will allegedly stay still. The leak also says that after one of the Wayob Manifestations is defeated, the other will have finished their Ultimate ability and gained their respective Elemental Shield. According to the leaker, if players defeat the Thundering Wayob Manifestation first, they will be unable to destroy the Rock-Cavernous Wayob Manifestation’s Geo Shield with Skirk’s team comp in Genshin Impact.

After Seeing The Genshin Impact 5.7 Leaks, I'm Convinced This Is Dainsleif's Playable Element
A new animation for Dainsleif has leaked in Genshin Impact 5.7 beta tests, and after seeing it, I’m sure I know which element he will use in combat.
It seems like the proper strategy to beat the first half’s third chamber when using Skirk is to defeat the Rock-Cavernous Wayob Manifestation first, as the leaker implies that the Cryo character and her teammates can destroy the Thundering Wayob Manifestation’s Electro Shield. As usual, the goal is to defeat these enemies as quickly as possible, and it seems like players will have to pick their Wayob Manifestation targets accurately to ensure they can beat the chamber on time. This should be true for other teams, too, even if Skirk in Genshin Impact is clearly being pushed toward this activity.
Skirk's Release In Genshin Impact 5.7 Is Getting d Through Gameplay
Cryo Is Being Put In The Spotlight Right Now
Based on what’s been showcased, it seems like HoYoverse is encouraging players to pull for Skirk. The Spiral Abyss’ Floor 12 will have a buff specifically for Cryo characters, if the leaks are to be believed, and Skirk is being sold as the next big Cryo character, especially due to her rumored status as a main DPS in team comps. As such, it’s likely that players will thrive if they use Skirk during the activity. While the rumored Spiral Abyss lineup is the most recent push toward Skirk and the Cryo meta in Genshin Impact, it‘s not the only one.

Genshin Impact 5.7 Leaks: New Free Character Giveaway Feels Like A Downgrade From Previous Reward
There are rumors of a new free character giveaway event in Genshin Impact 5.7, but the speculated reward does seem like a downgrade from before.
The new world boss from Natlan introduced with Version 5.6, Lava Dragon Statue, can also take more damage from Cryo attacks after being sufficiently weakened by Pyro attacks. The new weekly boss in Mondstadt, The Game Before The Gate, has two types of one-shot attacks that can only be impeded if players trigger Frozen reactions, and this requires Cryo. The leaks have shown that Skirk’s kit in Genshin Impact works best when inserted into a Freeze team, so she’s seemingly the best DPS for the job right now.
For now, these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, as they are still highly subject to change, but the Spiral Abyss’ focus on Cryo during Version 5.7 shouldn’t come as a surprise, as Skirk is arriving in Version 5.7, following Escoffier’s release in Version 5.6. Players may not be able to rely solely on Cryo, however, as the leak indicates that taking on opponents in the right order is also crucial when challenging the final stage of Genshin Impact’s main endgame mode.
