The leak was shared in a post flagged as “Questionable” on Reddit.

The leaked list of materials only fails to reveal two of the items needed for her Ascension: the Local Specialty and the world boss material. These items are likely unspecified because they will be released in Version 5.5, too, with the rumored new Natlan map area in Genshin Impact. Pre-farming the revealed materials can be a smart move for players to get ahead and be nearly ready once she is released in Version 5.5, as speculated by the leaks, but there is some risk.

Pre-farming can be risky because the materials that have been leaked are still highly subject to change throughout the course of the beta tests. The specified enemy drop materials, Talent books, or boss materials can all be altered ahead of Varesa’s release, for example, so players should be pre-farm knowing that some of their efforts may be made in vain.

Aside from the several bosses that drop it, players can also transform other Ascension stones into Vajrada Amethyst via the Alchemy Table in Genshin Impact.

When it comes to enemy drops, the leaked list of materials mentions that Varesa consumes the Natlan Saurian drops. Juvenile Fang, Seasoned Fang, and Tyrant’s Fang drop randomly from Saurain enemies found all across Natlan. A lot of them are reported to be needed for Varesa’s Ascension and many more should be consumed by her Talent-leveling process. Like the Ascension Vajrada Amethyst stones, these Fangs are part of the same item family, so players should always use the Alchemy Table to transform lower-grade items into rarer materials depending on the character’s needs in Genshin Impact.

The list also shows 168 copies of an unspecified material, which is most likely the rumored new Local Specialty to be added in Version 5.5, which can’t be pre-farmed, as well as 46 copies of an unspecified item that will likely come from the rumored new and unspecified world boss that is rumored for the next patch. These specific materials will need to be farmed once the patch arrives, so pre-farming the others can take away some of the pressure involved in gathering everything at once to get Varesa to level 90 in Genshin Impact.

Farming weekly boss materials can be difficult, especially because the challenge can drop three different types of items, so players may not acquire what they need during a specific week, further postponing the farming period. As such, pre-farming can help avoid this pressure once Varesa is released. All players have to do is beat the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire in Genshin Impact each week for a change to get Eroded Scale-Feather.

Varesa should also consume three Crowns of Insight, one to top off each of her active Talents.
