One of characters in Genshin Impact 5.2, namely Chasca and Ororon.
Most pieces of content for Version 5.2 have already been officially outlined by the developer during the special livestream, though it likely left out spoilers and other special secrets. Even though players should have their hands full during Version 5.2, which will also welcome Xbox console players, the community is already looking toward future releases. There have been several leaks about Mavuika’s release in Genshin Impact 5.3, for example, as well as mentions about the Lantern Rite Festival in 2025 and, now, rumors of a new character from an underrated region of Teyvat, which may take Travelers back there.
New Inazuma Character May Be Released In Genshin Impact 5.4
The Character’s Release Could Mean A Return To The Nation Of Electro
The new character rumored for Version 5.4 may be from Inazuma. According to a leak by Tieba, which was shared along by the leaker known as HXG, an Inazuman character will be released during the patch. This leak was shared in a post flagged as “Suspicious” on Raiden Shogun in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact 5.2's New Xbox Glider Can Be Obtained By Players On Other Platforms, But There's A Huge Limitation Imposed On Them
Version 5.2 will introduce a new promotional Xbox glider for Genshin Impact, celebrating the game’s release on Microsoft’s line of consoles.
As was previously mentioned, Inazuma is one of the game’s most underrated regions. This is mostly because the Nation of Electro’s design, especially when it comes to gameplay, pales in comparison to other Nations, such as Liyue and Fontaine. It is arguably even worse than Mondstadt in some aspects. Nevertheless, Inazuma does have an incredible setting, story, and roster of characters, so a possible return to the region does not sound like too bad of an experience, especially if the leaked character’s release in Genshin Impact 5.4 comes accompanied by some extra playable content.
Leaked Inazuma Character In Genshin Impact 5.4 Could Come With New Quests
Their Rumored Release Could Instead Accompany A New Event
This playable content could come in the form of new quests for players to engage in. Despite the fact that players are currently in the year focused on Natlan and its struggles against the Abyss, the main story arc in the Nation of Pyro should come to a conclusion during Version 5.3. After that, HoYoverse will likely be spreading out its contents and, even if the attention is still on Natlan, the company may revisit older locations, including Inazuma – especially if a new Inazuman character is released in Genshin Impact 5.4, for example.

I'm Excited My Favorite Genshin Impact Character May Finally Get A Skin I'll Use
There are rumors of a new skin for one of my favorite Genshin Impact characters and I couldn’t be more excited about possibly changing their outfit.
Something similar happened this year. While the game was focused on Fontaine and its characters until the arrival of Natlan in Version 5.0, players took a step back into Sumeru in Version 4.6. In the update, HoYoverse released a new Story Quest for Cyno, in which he shared the spotlight alongside Sethos. In the subsequent update, Version 4.7, Sethos arrived as a playable character.
While the order of events seems different from what is rumored for Version 5.4, it shows that HoYoverse isn’t opposed to returning to its older Nations to prepare the ground for new characters in Genshin Impact.
The rumors of a new Inazuman character in Version 5.4 do not confirm the existence of a related Story Quest, be that for an existing character or the new unit itself, but it does not take that possibility off the table. The arrival of a new character from another region could, possibly, take players back to the region for some sort of quest or even a limited activity. This is not always the case, as seen in Kirara’s release before Fontaine, but there is still a chance.

Genshin Impact 5.2's Leaked NPC May Forever Change The Natlan Story
An important historical figure from Natlan may make a reappearance in Genshin Impact 5.2, according to a leaked character model for the patch.
Inazuma has a bad reputation thanks to the structure of its maps and some of its gameplay elements, but it is still, arguably, one of the best regions when it comes to story and characters. Even if players are subjected to using some of the gameplay mechanics in a possible return to the Nation of Electro, it could be a way of helping restore the location’s reputation. For now, however, any and all Genshin Impact leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, especially one about a patch that is still many months away.
