The new Natlan characters in Genshin Impact and the Traveler, but she is soon to become a fully playable character.

Now, a few early leaks about her playable version have emerged. Mavuika may finally break a four-year trend of only having Xiangling operating as a Pyro sub-DPS in team comps. The information about Mavuika’s gameplay kit was obtained by the leaker known as Foul and shared in a post tagged as “Questionable” on Reddit. The leak highlights that both her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst may have performances that are d with Pyro sub-DPS characters in Genshin Impact.

Mavuika's Leaked Abilities In Genshin Impact 5.3 May End A Pyro Sub-DPS Tradition

All Signs Indicate Mavuika Will Be An Off-Field Pyro Sub-DPS

While the details are still fairly scarce, the leak provided by Foul does provide some insight into what players can expect in of Mavuika's performance on the field. According to the leak, her Elemental Skill has two forms: Press and Hold. When players use the Press version of Mavuika's Elemental Skill, she will allegedly summon some type of coordinated attack. With the Hold version of her leaked Elemental Skill, Mavuika is allegedly capable of infusing Pyro, though it is uncertain if this is for the entire team like Bennett or if it is merely for her.

The leak mentions that both the Press and the Hold versions of Mavuika's leaked skill consume Nightsoul points, which could give players a better understanding of how this could work with certain Artifact sets, like the Obsidian Codex in Genshin Impact.

In addition to her Skill, Foul also leaked Mavuika's Elemental Burst. According to the leak seen on Reddit, her Burst generates some effect that spawns a single attack every two seconds. While the exact nature of both her Skill and her Burst are still mysterious, it does seem like Mavuika's role in team comps will be that of a sub-DPS. Considering she is a Pyro character, she may finally end Xiangling's reign on the throne of Pyro sub-DPS in the game. There are other sub-DPS units, such as Dehya, but the character is lackluster in comparison to Xiangling.

Mavuika's rumored role as a Pyro sub-DPS in Version 5.3 is sustained by another leaker. According to a small rumor provided by the leaker known as DK2, which was shared on Reddit, Mavuika will work as an enhanced version of Dehya. The 5-star Pyro character from Sumeru is a sub-DPS who can deal off-field damage, but she is full of performance problems – this could be the interruption of her Burst's duration whenever she jumps to the dual-stat scaling that ends up affecting her overall performance. The concept for Dehya's build in Genshin Impact is good but poorly executed.

If Mavuika lives up to what Dehya originally proposed to be, then players may finally have a good 5-star Pyro sub-DPS on their teams, allowing them to not only put Xiangling to rest but potentially have an even stronger unit in their team comps. With the rise of Burning Elemental Reactions in team comps, Pyro as an off-field element has become a necessity. If the leaks are true, Mavuika's rumored release in Version 5.3 could make for a great addition to Kinich's team comp in Genshin Impact.
