New ancient rivalry in Genshin Impact.

In addition to his importance in of story, Sethos has also been one of the three confirmed new playable characters for Version 4.7. He is expected to arrive in the same patch alongside Sigewinne and the highly anticipated Clorinde. While Sigewinne and Clorinde are rumored to be 5-star units, Sethos is rumored to be a 4-star character. The addition of three new characters in Genshin Impact 4.7 proves that HoYoverse has learned an important lesson in content distribution during late-year patches. Now, despite the lack of information from official sources, the kits for these characters have started to leak.

Details about Sethos’ rumored gameplay kit were obtained by the leaker known as Foul and subsequently shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit. Foul has also been responsible for leaking the alleged kits that belong to Sigewinne and Clorinde. Based on the information provided, it seems like Sethos will be a DPS and his main attribute-scaling will come from his Elemental Mastery stat. That is rumored to be the leveled sub-stat during his Ascension, as well as what determines the strength of some of the abilities in his kit in Genshin Impact.

His Electro Vision and rumored Elemental Mastery scaling make him even more similar to Cyno since the General Mahamatra also uses electric abilities and deals damage based on the same stat.

Sethos Is A Bow Who May Scale Off A Great Stat In Genshin Impact

Character’s Rotation May Be About Triggering Elemental Reactions

Genshin Impact's Sethos looks determined.

Sethos has been confirmed as a bow since he wields one in his key art. This helps sustain the veracity of the leak, which mentions his abilities. According to Foul, Sethos’ Charged Attack has two stages – the first deals Electro damage, as any Electro bow would, but his second stage locks him in place until he releases and, when he does, Sethos fires a penetrating Phantom Arrow that deals Electro damage to everything in its path. The leak says Phantom Arrow in Genshin Impact is affected by a multiplier that considers both Sethos’ ATK and Elemental Mastery.

Sethos’ leaked Elemental Skill, on the other hand, does not take Elemental Mastery into consideration. According to the leak, the ability deals AoE Electro DMG to opponents in front of Sethos as he swiftly retreats backward. The rumored description says that if the Elemental Skill triggers an Electro-related reaction on an enemy, Sethos restores 12 Elemental Energy. The damage of this ability, however, is rumored to scale solely off of Sethos’ ATK. While it does seem like an effective way of regenerating Energy, it does not seem like the heart of his leaked gameplay kit in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact 4.7 Leaks: New Character Will Change Team Comps Forever

Leaked information about a rumored new character in Genshin Impact 4.7 may indicate that the current state of team comps will change drastically.

His Elemental Burst, on the other hand, seems to be more in line with his Charged Attack. According to the leak, Sethos enters a special state with his Burst, transforming Basic Attacks in Dark String Arrows, which can also penetrate enemies. They are rumored to deal increased damage based on Sethos’ Elemental Mastery and, for damage calculations, are considered Charged Attacks.

“Sethos’ kit may rival some of the best bow DPS units in the game.”

Furthermore, Sethos’ leaked first-level Ascension ive Talent is said to reduce the charging time when aiming based on how much Energy he has. The same ability is rumored to consume that same Energy when a Phantom Arrow is fired and, if it only charges up to stage 1, it will consume 50% of the Energy. His second leaked ive Talent is rumored to increase the damage from Phantom Arrows by 600% of his Elemental Mastery every 15 seconds, up to 5 seconds, and that buff is removed once the Phantom Arrow hits an opponent in Genshin Impact.

Sethos’ third ive Talent is rumored to display Sumeru resources on the mini-map.

Sethos’ Constellations are said to increase his offensive capabilities, granting a buff to CRIT Rate, bonuses to Electro DMG, increasing the team’s Elemental Mastery, and even refunding Energy for him to use his Burst more often.

Sethos’ Release May Mean Competition For Lyney & Tighnari In Genshin Impact

Character’s Stats & Easier Access To Constellation May Have 5-Stars Beat

While the exact stats have yet to be seen, especially considering the likelihood of them being adjusted before the release of Genshin Impact 4.7, the way they allegedly function indicates that Sethos may be a top-tier Electro DPS. Most of his abilities tie into one another; he is rumored to have two main sources of damage that actually complement each other and both seemingly scale off his Elemental Mastery stat, which is great to build, especially when inserted in a team focused on Elemental Reactions. Sethos’ kit may rival some of the best bow DPS units in the game.

Genshin Impact 4.7 Leaks: New Abyss Update May Change The Game Forever

A new leak about a new version of the Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact 4.7 hints at a game-changing update - and it may push players to their limits.

This includes Lyney and Tighnari, for instance. While Lyney’s kit is a bit different in the sense that he uses traditional DPS stats and relies on an HP-loss mechanic to increase his damage, Sethos’ kit seems a lot like Tighnari’s – and, depending on how well-built he is, Sethos may even match Tighnari’s power on the battlefield. This may come as a surprise, considering Lyney and Tighnari are 5-star characters in Genshin Impact, whereas Sethos is rumored to be a 4-star unit. If he ends up being a F2P version of either 5-star character, he is already pretty strong.

He may even sur both of these characters if the player is able to get Sethos to Constellation level 6. While it is tougher to increase the Constellation level on 5-star units, a rumored 4-star character like Sethos can more easily reach C6, which could unlock his full potential. The counterpoint is that, even with the best build, weapon, and at C6, Sethos’ base stats would still likely be inferior to those of his 5-star counterparts.

The leak mentions that Sethos has 251 base ATK and a 96 Elemental Mastery sub-stat (at level 90). In direct opposition, Tighnari has 268 base ATK and a 28.8% Dendro DMG Bonus (at level 90), while Lyney has a whopping 318 base ATK and a 24.2% CRIT Rate sub-stat (at level 90).

Genshin Impact 4.6: Should You Pull For Arlecchino Or Lyney (Pros & Cons)

The Phase 1 banners in Genshin Impact’s Version 4.6 update offer a tough choice with two strong Pyro DPS characters: Arlecchino and Lyney.

Sethos may not have the base power to compete directly with Lyney but may be a viable Electro substitute for the Pyro DPS. Compared to Tighnari, however, Sethos looks a lot more competent and may even beat the Forest Ranger due to the ease of getting to C6. For now, it is impossible to determine exactly how strong Sethos will be, especially considering leaks should be taken with caution and there is still a lot of time for changes, but his most recent kit leak in Genshin Impact bodes well for his release.
