The GeForce Now leak named many games and was widely reported at the time, being one of many high-profile leaks of the past few years, and more and more names on the list are being ticked off each week.

GeForce Now is Nvidia's game streaming service, which lets players stream high-quality versions of games to their PCs. One of the unique features of GeForce Now is that it's possible to sync it up with a Steam , in order to play compatible games that are in the player's library. GeForce Now is one of several streaming services available on PC, as it's competing with the likes of Google Stadia, Amazon Luna, Xbox Game , and PlayStation Now. GeForce Now also has a free option, but this limits the available playtime to an hour.

In September 2021, there was an alleged leak of the GeForce Now service, which had been datamined for information about games. Nvidia responded to the leaks, claiming that many of the titles were speculative, and not all of them were for games that existed. There was reason to believe this, as some of the names on the list seemed outlandish, as did many release dates. This has partly been confirmed, with games like Gundam Evolution being listed for a January release when the game isn't due to launch until April. At the time of the initial leak, no one was sure what to believe, but once the announcements started happening, plenty of truth has come to light.

The GeForce Now Leak Games That Have Been Announced

As time went on, more and more of the names on the GeForce Now leak list were announced. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition was one of the first big ones, even if the games themselves didn't live up to expectations. Square Enix revealed during the February 2022 Nintendo Direct that a Chrono Cross remaster was coming. Capcom confirmed that Street Fighter 6 is in development, while Crytek also announced that Crysis 4 was in the works. The PC version of God of War was announced not long after the GeForce Now leak and it would eventually launch in January 2022. Crystal Dynamics recently announced that a new Tomb Raider game is on the way, which was also mentioned in the leak.

One of the most unbelievable games on the list was Kingdom Hearts 4. The reason for this is because of the massive gap between Kingdom Hearts 2 and Kingdom Hearts 3, with fans waiting nearly fifteen years for the third entry in the series. Square Enix filled that void with a number of spin-off games, and it seemed as if the same was going to happen this time around. The 20th anniversary of the Kingdom Hearts series would reveal that Sora's journey wasn't quite over yet. Kingdom Hearts 4 was announced, adding a lot of credence to the GeForce Now leak. If Kingdom Hearts 4 is legit, then surely everything on the list is just as believable?

The GeForce Now Leak Games That Are Still Up In The Air

If the rest of the GeForce Now leak is to be believed, then there are some amazing games waiting to be announced. The Square Enix picks have been accurate so far, which means that FF9 Remake could be on the way. This might have been less believable than Kingdom Hearts 4, especially as Square Enix is still working on the FF7 Remake series, but there is an FF9 anime in development, and there might be plans to cross-promote the two. Final Fantasy Tactics remaster is on the list and it seems likely, considering that Square Enix has remastered the main PS1 Final Fantasy titles. A Tactics Ogre remaster was on the list, and that was pretty much confirmed recently when Tactics Ogre Reborn was trademarked.

The Sony list contains PC ports of existing PlayStation titles, including Demon’s Souls, Deracine, Ghost of Tsushima, Gran Turismo 7, Helldivers 2, Horizon Forbidden West, Ratchet & Clank, Returnal, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure. None of these are particularly surprising, as Sony has confirmed that it will be releasing more first-party games on the PC platform in the future. Take-Two had a remaster of Bioshock, even though there is already a remastered Bioshock collection. The EA list includes Titanfall 3 and a remaster of Mirror's Edge. Sega's list included Bayonetta 3, which is surprising, as most people assume that it will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive. Atlus' list contained Catherine Full Body and a PC version of Shin Megami Tensei V, which is currently a Nintendo Switch exclusive. The Capcom list includes Dragon's Dogma 2 and Monster Hunter 6, as well as the rumored Resident Evil 4 remake for modern systems. Capcom was the victim of a separate leak, which also mentioned these games.

There are some companies that only had a single game in the GeForce Now leak. These include Half-Life 2: Remastered (Valve), Human Fall Flat 2 (Curve Digital), The Talos Principle 2 (Devolver Digital), Tekken 8 (Bandai Namco), and Project FPS (Paradox Interactive). There are also titles like XCOM 3City Skylines 2, and Fight for Middle-Earth. One unusual game on the list is Mario and Rabbids, which is a Ubisoft-developed game, but it seems highly unlikely that Nintendo would allow its prized first-party characters to appear on a non-Nintendo platform.

The question remains about whether the GeForce Now leak can be trusted? The announcement of Kingdom Hearts 4 was a major point in its favor, as most people assumed that game was still years away if it would ever come out at all. There are also things like the Mario and Rabbids, which seem extremely unlikely to come to a streaming service. The leak has proven to be mostly accurate, but there's still a chance that parts of the GeForce Now leak are just speculation or placeholders.
