Over two years since the manga first started serialization, it’s been announced that Gachiakuta will receive an anime adaptation by My Hero Academia and Fullmetal Alchemist's anime studio, Bones, in 2025, with Train to the End of the World’s Fumihiko Suganuma directing and Date A Live’s Satoshi Ishino serving as chief animation director.

Gachiakuta’s Story Explained
Serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine; Created by Kei Urana
In the world of Kei Urana’s Gachiakuta, the young orphan Rudo is cast out from the floating paradise of the Sphere after being accused of murdering his father, Regto, and he ends up in the trash-infested wasteland known as the Pit. There, Rudo discovers that he’s a Giver, someone who can imbue a treasured object with supernatural abilities, and after ing up with an organization of Givers called the Cleaners, Rudo swears to use his powers to get back to the Sphere and exact revenge against everyone who wronged him.
Why Gachiakuta’s Anime Will Be One Of 2025’s Best
There are many reasons to be excited about Gachiakuta’s anime in 2025. The supernatural revenge story always has a lot of appeal, and as previously stated, Gachiakuta’s artwork and character designs make every chapter gorgeous from start to finish, all of which always lend themselves to stylish and creative action scenes. There are few manga that do as much from a visual perspective as well as Gachiakuta, and seeing that in animation is sure to be spectacular.
The biggest factor in Gachiakuta’s favor, of course, is Studio Bones being in charge of the anime. For over 25 years now, Bones has been in charge of some of the most popular and gorgeous anime around like Fullmetal Alchemist, Mob Psycho 100, My Hero Academia, and even Gachiakuta’s most immediate contemporary, Soul Eater, so with them in charge, Bones is sure to give Gachiakuta some of the best animation of any anime in recent years. Overall, there’s a lot to be excited about with Gachiakuta, and it's already one of the best anime to look forward to in 2025.
