WARNING! This article contains SPOILERS for From season 3, episode 7!Tillie’s last words to Fatima include a haunting message telling her to run, which could have a few purposes in From’s ensemble of characters in the season 2 premiere, Tillie has oddly been a source of suspicion since she arrived in town on the bus. Tillie’s strange behavior has led many to believe that there’s something more sinister to her character, such as seeing the Kimono Woman from Elgin’s visions, sensing Fatima was pregnant, convincing her to read tarot cards, ing Fatima’s cravings, and generally seeming unfazed by From’s dark, twisted world.

While it seemed like viewers were simply waiting for the other shoe to drop with some shocking reveal about Tillie’s identity, that anticipation was cut short by her shocking fate in From season 3, episode 7’s ending. As Fatima’s mysterious pregnancy becomes more severe and she’s still unable to keep down food, Tillie enters the shed and tries to help her. However, the anxiety, pain, and mental manipulations of this pregnancy overpower Fatima, leading her to stab Tillie in the chest with a pair of gardening shears. As Tillie takes her last breath, she cryptically warns Fatima, “You have to run.”

Tillie Doesn't Want Fatima To Get Caught By The Others For Her Murder

Tillie Is Trying To Help Save Fatima In Her Final Moments

The most likely answer is that Tillie is telling Fatima to run so that she doesn’t get caught for her murder. Tillie understands that it wasn’t really Fatima who killed her and that the anger of some supernatural force inside her overcame her, so Tillie doesn’t want Fatima to be punished by the rest of the community for it. If Fatima and Ellis can run and hide somewhere before other people in Colony House realize what happened, then she might avoid being apprehended and sentenced to a severe punishment by Boyd.

However, other people trapped in From have murdered others on behalf of the town’s influence without facing extremely harsh punishments. For instance, Sara, who Victor called the “scariest person in town,” killed a few people, including her brother Nathan, after voices compelled her to do so. Of course, Sara has now been ostracized by everyone in town other than Victor, and Tillie certainly wouldn’t want Fatima to receive that same fate.

Suspicions About Tillie & Her Potential Connection To The Town Could Still Be Right

The sharp warning that Tillie gives to Fatima could end up having a deeper meaning, potentially connected to the suspicions that many have already had about her. By telling Fatima she has to run, Tillie could be warning her about some dark force that might come after her in retaliation for the murder. If Tillie really was a “mole” for From’s monsters, then her death might signal to some entity that Fatima should be killed in return. However, with Tillie becoming closer to Fatima, she might be using the last of her humanity to try to rescue her.

In From season 2, Randall proposed the theory that someone in town could actually be "in on" the chaos and entrapment, which is when suspicions about Tillie began to rise.

Regardless, darkness awaits Fatima in the remaining three episodes of From season 3. Whether that be in the form of punishment by her peers, revenge from the town’s evil forces, or an attack from whatever is inside her, Fatima needs to urgently heed Tillie’s warning. Even if suspicions about Tillie having more sinister intentions were wrong, she, like many others in From, is able to sense the darkness in this town and seems to have seen some horrible fate awaiting Fatima if she doesn’t run away.
