WARNING: Spoilers ahead for From season 3, episode 3.
In From's cast of characters coming face-to-face with shocking discoveries. However, in true From fashion, none of the show's biggest mysteries are really any closer to being solved.
It's still not clear why Fatima is eating rotten crops, for example, or how From season 3, episode 1, "Mouse Tap" continues to raise the stakes for Boyd (Harold Perrineau) and the rest of the Township's inhabitants who are, increasingly, having a very hard time remaining hopeful. Plus, the episode's shocking ending throws a huge wrench into Tabitha's plans.
11 Jim Realizes The Voice On The Phone Isn't Thomas
Ethan, Julie & Jim's Dynamic Grows More Strained In From Season 3, Episode 3
At the end of From season 3's second episode, Jim receives a phone call. While Kenny (Ricky He) had dreamed about the kitchen phone ringing in season 2, Jim's interaction with the phone is even more unsettling. The voice at the other end of the line sounds like a young boy and even calls Jim "Dad," suggesting that Thomas, Jim and Tabitha's late son, is calling the Liu house. Episode 2 cuts off before Jim has a chance to interrogate the caller. Now well acquainted with the Town's tricks, Jim tells the voice to stop pretending to be his son.
The voice insists on calling Jim "Dad," which makes Jim even angrier. Although Jim asks the caller what they want, that line of questioning doesn't get him very far. Not unlike the radio voice in From season 1's ending, the stranger issues a chilling warning. This time, the fake Thomas tells Jim that he shouldn't let Ethan and Julie wander around the Township so close to dark. Jim rushes outside to find his children, who are fine. Later in the episode, Jim snaps at Ethan, who is convinced that Tabitha is dead. That said, the Matthews family's strained relationship continues.
10 Tabitha & Henry Head To The "Original" Bottle Tree In Maine
Miranda Created Two Bottle Tree Installations Before Getting Trapped In The Town
Meanwhile, in Camden, Tabitha learns more about Victor's mother, Miranda. In episode 2, Henry was finally convinced by Tabitha's story thanks to her mention of the children trapped in the tower — a sentiment Miranda had also mentioned before disappearing. Victor's mother's paintings in From's previous episode provided some insight into Miranda's special connection with the Township, but Tabitha is really no closer to understanding why she was able to leave. While standing in Henry's kitchen, Tabitha hears a familiar sound — like wind chimes — and asks Henry to show her the source.
According to Henry, the other bottle tree does have an opening.
In the backyard, Tabitha is shocked to discover that one of Miranda's art installations is a bottle tree. Although the concept is the same as the bottle tree in the Township's woods, the evergreen in Henry's backyard doesn't have a hollow. That means it isn't a Faraway Tree. Tabitha seems deflated until Henry mentions that Miranda created another bottle tree in a park about 30 minutes away. According to Henry, the other bottle tree does have an opening. Plus, it's where he and Miranda dropped acid the night she started having visions of From's Town.
9 Victor Unearths A Suitcase & Visits Sara
From Season 3 Teases That Victor Has More To About Christopher
In one of From season 3, episode 3's blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments, Victor walks from Colony House to a patch of dirt under a tree. As always, he's very measured and careful with his steps. Soon enough, he starts digging. It seems that a much younger Victor buried something incredibly important in the wake of Christopher's massacre. Later, Victor shows up at Sara's house, holding a suitcase he's unearthed. Sara, who was busy reconstructing the Christmas ornament that meant so much to her and Nathan, allows Victor to come inside with the strange suitcase.

From Season 4: Cast, Story & Everything We Know
MGM+'s nightmarish series From has enjoyed a creepy three-season run thus far, and the terrifying show has been renewed for season 4.
The duo have a peculiar dynamic. Victor finds Sara not just scary because she attempted to kill Ethan, but a bit odd. Sara has been keeping to herself for the most part. In the wake of some season 2 deaths, Sara moved back into the house that she once shared with her brother. Although she saved Ethan and Julie from the monsters in episode 1, Sara has continued to be an outcast. As a child, Victor probably explored all the houses in Town, so it remains to be seen if whatever is inside his suitcase connects to Sara's home.

Fatima Is Able To Confide In Tillie
After Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori) consumed fistfuls of rotting crops in From season 3, episode 2, many wondered what's wrong with Fatima's baby. In season 2, Fatima tells Donna (Elizabeth Saunders) that she was told she'd never have biological children of her own. Instead of seeing her pregnancy as a miracle, Fatima was terrified to learn about her condition. "We've hit them point-blank with shotguns and all they do is smile," Donna reminds the Stevens men.

From Season 3 Confirms New Villain Replacement After Season 2's Shocking Death
Although the characters of MGM+'s horror series deal with many threats, From season 3 introduces a replacement main villain among the monsters.
Sensing Boyd's mounting frustration, Donna explains that she just wants him to come up with a logical plan before taking action. Later, Boyd fiddles with things in the church and has a vision of Father Khatri (Shaun Majumder). The late priest reiterates that Boyd's plan is a selfish one, especially since Tian-Chen sacrificed herself to save the Town after the monsters in From let the animals loose. Boyd's journey of introspection takes him to the diner, where he runs into Bakta (Angela Moore). The former bus driver seems more willing to take chances and, unlike others, isn't out of hope yet.

After having a disagreement with Dale, Jade walks into the woods on his own. In addition to the strange effigies and statues, Jade finds another haunting landmark: a circle of three rocks painted red. Touching the rocks, Jade has a vision of a dead man who is pinned to a nearby tree. There's what looks to be a railroad spike in the man's eye, which keeps him tethered to the tree. The dead man tries to strangle Jade but, much like the Civil War Soldier, he proves to be another hallucination.

From Season 3's New Victor Twist Is A Reminder Of A Devastatingly Harsh Reality About The Town
From season 3, episode 1 returns with a big reveal about longtime resident Victor, which highlights a harsh reality about the other characters.
When the reading begins, Fatima asks the cards about her baby's health. Before Tillie can flip over the first card, a crow smashes into the window behind Fatima. The bird eventually bursts through the window, flying wildly around the room before collapsing in a bloody heap. Ravens and crows have appeared in From since the very first episode. Notably, the birds also appeared to the Matthews family on the fallen tree that led them into Town. Sadly, it's hard to imagine a dead bird being a good omen of any sort for Fatima and her baby.
3 Tabitha Discovers The Bracelet In Henry's Glove Compartment
The Bracelet Causes Tabitha To Doubt Her Reality (Again)
In one of From season 3's most jarring moments, Tabitha finds the bracelet that she made for Jim in Henry's glove compartment. The duo is finally on their way to the park in Maine where Miranda first constructed her bottle tree installation. It seems like Tabitha is inching closer to getting some real, concrete answers. Unfortunately, an upset stomach prompts her to open Henry's glove compartment for some crackers. Inside, the shoelace bracelet is just lying there. Previously, the bracelet also appeared in Tian-Chen's storage room in the diner.
Henry explains that Miranda made the bracelet for him, but Tabitha insists that the bracelet is a step too far.
While the bracelet seemed like it was going to be one of those dropped threads that never come back, From has proven, yet again, that it isn't interested in repeating the drama of Lost's polar bear. Every symbol, object, and figure seems to have a purpose. Henry explains that Miranda made the bracelet for him, but Tabitha insists that the bracelet is a step too far. She begins to believe that Henry is in on some kind of plan or setup. Of course, the bracelet could also reiterate Tabitha being "chosen" to save the children, much like Miranda.
2 Randall Sees The Locusts Again
Boyd Asks To Stay On The Bus To Watch The Creatures At Night
Toward the end of the episode, Randall (A.J. Simmons) is hanging out on the bus and whittling something. Like Julie and Marielle (Kaelen Ohm), Randall is still dealing with the fallout from his time possessed by the music box. In season 2, From's haunting nursery rhyme almost caused the three characters' deaths. Although Boyd managed to destroy the music box and save them, Randall, Julie, and Marielle are still living with post-traumatic stress. Randall, in particular, seems to be having more visions than his fellow survivors.
