Screen Rant is thrilled to present an exclusive new clip from RLJE Films' latest horror thriller, The Friendship Game. The movie follows four teenage friends who discover a strange object which pulls them into a game that will test their loyalties and sanity with devastating consequences the deeper they become entrenched. The Friendship Game will be available in theaters, On Demand, and on digital platforms November 11.
The horror film stars an impressive young cast led by Peyton List (Cobra Kai) including Brendan Meyer (The OA), Kelcey Mawema (Superman & Lois), Kaitlyn Santa Juana (The Flash), and Dylan Schombing (Watchmen). The Friendship Game will test each of the players with fears coming to the surface, especially after Cotton Allen (Juana) goes missing. The game will bring into question the friends' loyalty to each other as they must continue playing in order to try and find their missing companion.
Screen Rant's exclusive clip begins with Cotton entranced by a small mysterious object and the woman selling it who immediately asks the teenager if she knows who her friends are. The woman continues to ominously explain to Cotton that the object is a game she can play with her true friends, warning her that if the friendships don't survive the game, the players won't either. As Zooza (List) arrives, the object sparking her own curiosity, the seller reveals the rules of the game.

The new horror movie leans into the high-intensity friendships of high school, questions of loyalty, and the fear of losing these friendships. The Friendship Game focuses on internalized and psychological fears with Zooza's own deep seeded issues with abandonment brought to the surface by the devastating pressure and repercussions of the game. When Cotton goes missing, it seems the fear and desperation of the other teens will pull them deeper into the game's dangerous clutches. The Friendship Game is directed by Scooter Corkle and is his first feature-length foray into horror following his 2017 feature directorial debut Hollow in the Land. The film is written by The OA's Damien Ober.
The Friendship Game is being distributed by RLJE Films which has an impressive roster of movies already to its name. These include the sci-fi thriller Dual starring Karen Gillan and Aaron Paul, the Nicolas Cage-led horror Western Prisoners of the Ghostland, and the star-studded mystery Last Looks. The Friendship Game has a runtime of 87 minutes and is not yet rated.
The Friendship Game hits theaters, Video On Demand, and Digital November 11.
