Along with the usual case-of-the-week format, Found also weaves a compelling narrative from episode to episode.

Debuting in October 2023, Found had very little competition since most returning fall series were delayed due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes which brought the industry to a halt for the better part of the year. Critical responses were largely positive, and the series garnered a respectable score on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite being a fledgling series airing during unprecedented times in the industry, NBC saw the potential in the premise and green-lit a second season before the first had even finished airing.

A Full Trailer Drops

With only a short time to go until the sophomore season arrives, the latest news comes in the form of a full trailer for Found season 2. As was the case with the earlier teaser, the trailer for season 2 is notable for how much it doesn't reveal. Gabi confesses to Trent that she kept Sir prisoner, and she then deals with the fallout of his evil revenge. With Lacey still in the clutches of the criminal mastermind, Gabi must rally her team to get her sister back, while dealing with the emotional manipulation that Sir tries to pull on her.

Found Will Follow Law & Order In October

It didn't take long for Found to earn a season 2 renewal from NBC, and it also didn't take long for the network to pencil the show into their 2024-2025 fall schedule. Occupying the new primetime slot of 10pm, Found season 2 will debut on Thursday, October 3, and will follow Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU. The Shanola Hampton-led series now occupies the slot previously held by Law & Order: Organized Crime.

Though the ending of Found season 1 was shocking, there's no reason to think that the entire main cast won't return to reprise their roles in season 2. As with the first, fans can expect to see Shanola Hampton return as recovery specialist Gabi Mosely, and they can also expect the return of her long-time adversary Hugh "Sir" Evans, played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar. Though new characters are expected to the cast as the overarching story gets bigger and more fleshed out, it is the main team that will likely take the starring roles once again.

Sir's Escape Opens A World Of Trouble For Gabi

Unlike most of the best procedurals which return to the starting position each season to maintain the status quo, Found season 1 took big risks with its finale that will change the series going forward. In episode 13's shocking twist, Sir escaped from captivity and the dangerous criminal was once again on the loose with nothing but revenge on his mind. As the first season went off the air, Sir made it clear he was going to kill Lacey to stick it to Mosely.

Besides setting up the obvious conflict for season 2, the twist ending also introduced interpersonal struggles within the team as Mosely was forced to come clean to her entire crew to enlist their help. The full fallout of her actions hasn't been felt yet, and there may be trouble within the group because of Mosely's controversial past. Besides all that, Found season 2 will also likely contain a case-of-the-week format where Mosely and the team rescue other kidnapped individuals.

With the sophomore season's release date scheduled for October, NBC has revealed the first teaser for Found season 2. After recapping Sir's escape at the conclusion of season 1, the teaser cuts to an eerie scene where he calls Gabi to taunt her. He then reveals to his former captor that he plans on going after her friends, family, and colleagues in a quest for revenge. Season 1 of Found was a tense ride, but if the teaser is any indication, season 2 might just be even more exhilarating.

As the release date looms closer, NBC revealed a full trailer for Found that highlights the struggle for Gabi in the wake of her confession. Having come clean to Trent about her kidnapping of Sir, she and her team must get to work to find Lacey. However, it's clear that Gabi hasn't dealt with her own emotional baggage, and Sir's mind games continue to have an effect on her as she leads the investigation.
