Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Found season 2, episode 21.

With only one episode left until the end of the season, NBC has officially pulled the plug on Found . Its season 2 finale, which will now serve as the series finale, is set to air Thursday, May 15 at 10 p.m. ET. The Shanola-Hampton-led drama highlights the lack of media attention that missing people in marginalized groups receive, while brilliantly weaving several overarching mysteries throughout the narrative. However, this may not be the end of Mosley & Associates.

Along with the cancellation news, Jamie has been abducted by Lena, who declines Margaret's incoming call. He may be free of one kidnapper, but Jamie's already found himself in the hands of another.

I chatted with star Parker Queenan about that major cliffhanger, Jamie's relationships with Margaret and Carrie, and what to expect from the Found series finale.

Queenan Was The Only Cast Member Who Knew Jamie Was Telling The Truth

"I was bribed by people to tell them the answers, but I kept solid."

Jamie finding Margaret in Found season 2, episode 11

ScreenRant: When you first booked the role, did you always know that Jamie was who he said he was? There was a lot of speculation about his identity.

Parker Queenan: Not until I got to set, but once I got to set, they gave me all the answers. I don't if I asked or if they just gave them to me, but it was a weird thing because in a conversation that was probably five minutes long, they told me everything. They were like, "Pretty much, here's the story, this is Jamie. This is everything that happened to him."

I was like, "Great." But I was the only one who knew. No one else in the cast was allowed to know who he was, and if he really was who he said he was. Everyone always had their theories. Is he this person? Is he lying? Is he holding something back? But they were fortunate enough to let me in on all the secrets.

I love that the cast is asking the same questions on set that we are at home.

Parker Queenan: It's cool to see how people interpret those things and what the different actors think of the character. It takes a few episodes to really get there, and I would always gauge the cast and the crew. I'm like, "What are you thinking?" And people really didn't know. Some people thought he really was [Margaret's son], and some people didn't. It was divided. That was a cool thing. I was bribed by people to tell them the answers, but I kept solid.

I didn't really let myself believe it until Dhan did. How was filming that scene? Jamie's reaction to Margaret being in danger was an impactful moment.

Parker Queenan: Karan is really fun to act with. We had several scenes leading up to that point where we were a bit more, I would say, combative with each other. It was cool to get a chance to find a different note and a different color with that relationship because I like that relationship. I think that they could have a lot more of an interesting relationship in episodes to come between Jamie and Dhan. It's cool to finally have the last one believe me because then there wasn't any room for doubt or speculation.

Learning That Carrie Lied About Her Son Put Jamie Over The Edge

"It upended his understanding of who she was, because he always believed that her son had ed away."

Parker Daniel Queenan as Jamie sitting in a chair in Found season 2

Just to confirm, does Jamie have an unknown connection to Sir?

Parker Queenan: No, there's not really a connection between the two of them. Jamie's really interested in M&A, and in Gabi, in particular. And I think that he's like an investigative journalist. He's going to the people that he understands were pivotal in all of these peoples' lives, and that was a big part of why he went to Sir in that one scene.

I don't think there's any kind of connection between them. I think that there's an understanding of who each other are. He knows who Sir is, and Sir, through knowing about Gabi, knows who Margaret's son is, and obviously, having helped a little bit in the case in a flashback about trying to find Jamie when his shoes appeared in the station. But I don't think there's any kind of connection between them. I don't think that ever comes to light. But who knows?

Jamie has been struggling to accept everything that Carrie has done to him. What do you think finally convinced him to talk to the police and help get her arrested?

Parker Queenan: Part of it was gradual. It happened over many episodes in many little places that slowly got him to this place. Carrie attacking Margaret was a big one, but it wasn't really the thing that put him over the edge because he still was on the fence after that point. It's all emotional, and I think that that really was what it comes down to. It's emotional, and I think it was the understanding, especially, that Carrie had lied to him about her son.

I think that that piece of information really put him over the edge because it upended his understanding of who she was, because he always believed that her son had ed away, and he was really alive. I think that when he found that out, it made everything else that she said not incredibly valid, and it brought him closer to his mom. It's like when the person that is trying to give you good advice and steer you in the right way, everything that they said about a certain person suddenly becomes true, and you think, "Well, maybe that person's actually telling the truth."

I think it's also one of those things you know it in your heart, but you just haven't really accepted it yet. And then once you accept it, you're like, "This is the right way to go." And also, at the same time, it happens over a phone call. I'm sure part of Jamie was testing her in that phone call to be like, "I'm going to say things to see if you react in a certain way, and if you do react in that way, then I'll know that this is the right decision." So it could have very well been in that phone call that he actually made that final choice of like, "This is the person."

How do you think he feels about Carrie now? I'm assuming the love doesn't just go away, but would he ever want some kind of relationship with her in the future?

Parker Queenan: No, probably not. It would probably be too difficult to go back to. Probably time would help them to separate from each other, but I don't think that those things ever go away. I think if you have a connection with someone, I think if you feel a love for somebody, I think that that'll always be there, even if it's not consistent and active. I would be hard pressed to believe Jamie would ever go back and try to rekindle something there though.

Jamie's Previous Experience Will Affect His Actions In The Found Season 2 Finale

"It's a very different kidnapping too, because the first time he was kidnapped, it was more by deliberate coercion and manipulation."

Kelli Williams as Margaret and Parker Daniel Queenan as Jamie in Found season 2

Jamie gets into a bit of an argument with Margaret when she says something along the lines of, "You're looking to justify Carrie's actions, so why can't you find forgiveness for me?" What was going through his head after that?

Parker Queenan: I think it was the first time that Margaret really said something back to him in any way. A lot of times, Jamie was making a declaration against Margaret, but it was the first time that she really shared her own thoughts and opinions with him.

A lot of it was about Jamie sharing with Margaret ways in which he felt and ways in which she intentionally or inadvertently hurt him, but this was one situation where Margaret shared, "This is how I feel. Imagine being in my shoes. It's not exactly easy on the other side either," and I think Jamie feels for her there. Kelli [Williams] did great in that scene. It was really great to shoot that with her, but she stands her ground in a new kind of way that's like, "Oh my goodness. That is a different side of my mom I hadn't even seen when I was younger, and she means what she says."

I think it's as much about what she says as much as how she says it, and it makes an impact on him, because he realizes they're actually not so dissimilar, the two of them. It's a tough thing when your parent is the one you want to fix all the problems and to be the one to understand, but sometimes you have to be the one to try to understand your parent to, and you have to be the one to carry some of that burden. I think he does in that moment.

In episode 21, it's revealed that Jamie actually saw his father and his sisters in the park one day, but he chose to save a little girl. Would he have said anything if they were still there afterward?

Parker Queenan: I don't know if he would've said anything. I don't know if he would've gone up to them. I think he might've hung around to see if they went up to him, but I don't think he would've expressly decided to go up to them because I think that would be a difficult decision for him to make.

I think he would understand the implications with returning to them, because that would mean that he'd probably have to forego his mom, his other mom, Carrie, and that there'd be a lot of difficulty and he'd be kind of itting that there's something wrong by going back up to them. I don't know if he would've done it. I think he was really curious. I don't know if he would've made that decision, though.

Jamie is kidnapped again, this time by Lena. Is there anything you can tease about where that's headed?

Parker Queenan: Jamie isn't really fond of being kidnapped a second time, and I think that has an effect on how he deals with the situation. It's a very different kidnapping too, because the first time he was kidnapped, it was more by deliberate coercion and manipulation. This one was more robust. It's like, "I'm going to throw a bag over your head, and I'm going to take you away," kind of thing—it's that kind of kidnapping, and it was calculated, and specific and methodical.

I think Jamie understands what him being kidnapped means and how it can affect maybe the operations of M&A and also just the emotional impact it has on him again. I don't think anybody likes being kidnapped, but I think if you get kidnapped twice, it probably has an effect on you. He takes that into how he deals with the situation and how he tries to do something about it.
