The following also contains spoilers for Found season 2, episode 12.Margaret Reed has spent 13 years searching for her missing son Jamie, and in Found season 2, episode 11, he appears, birthing another mystery that may force Gabi to reach out to Sir. Margaret blamed herself for being terse with Jamie when he was being especially hyperactive, reaching a low point where she considered killing herself in Found season 2’s midseason finale. Margaret had been working towards a holistically healthier mental space, including reconnecting with her estranged daughter and staying away from the bus station where she once kept vigil every night.

Margaret is thrilled with Found season 2, but this does not feel like his usual meddling.

Dhan Rana Has Two Ways To Determine Jamie’s Identity

Lacey Quinn thinks the coincidental timing of Gabi’s arrest points to Sir, perhaps as a distraction tactic for the DD. Jamie’s reemergence is curious. Dhan notices that even Margaret uses her “Margaret-Vision” when she first meets the boy, though she denies it. Security footage of the bus station reveals whoever Jamie is has been watching Margaret for weeks. While there is some scheme in place, this does not seem like Sir is the mastermind behind it. He has traditionally stayed under the radar throughout Sir's freedom in Found season 2.

Margaret developed hyper-observation skills after Jamie's disappearance, which the Mosely & Associate team calls her "Margaret-Vision." Using her "superpower" to read body language, she can usually tell when people are lying.

Jamie’s homecoming is too splashy and obvious, and it will be too easily unraveled. Dhan has two ways to confirm Jamie’s identity: sneak a DNA sample and check for a mole Jamie had on his right elbow. Dhan gets a solid glimpse of Jamie’s elbows when Jamie spills his drink and takes off his hoodie, though the audience only sees the arm in profile. Jamie pretends to sleep as Dhan takes his leftover food to get his DNA, so whoever he is, he does not seem worried that M&A will undercover his identity.

The impostor con does not feel like Sir’s handiwork, but Jamie's interest in Gabi seems meaningful. There is another player in Found — Sir’s unknown accomplice, who could be putting his own scheme into motion. Jamie was inquiring about M&A’s investigative methods, so it could be someone planning a future kidnapping. Whatever the bigger plot is, it will break Margaret to learn this is not her Jamie.

Margaret Will Spiral If Jamie Is Actually An Impostor

Margaret is banned from the bus station after assaulting a janitor, but she is coping better than ever with the help of therapy. She even took a trip with her daughter, who was estranged for years because Margaret was so consumed with finding Jamie. However, as Dhan points out, her suicide attempt was not long ago, and Margaret believes Jamie so completely that she hung his picture on M&A’s “found” wall. Learning he is an impostor could halt her progress.

Sir is arrested in Found season 2, episode 12, and lies about his kidnapping. Without his testimony, DD does not have a case against Gabi. While Gabi would loathe to seek Sir’s help again, especially on Margaret’s behalf, as she was most adamantly against using Sir’s insights for cases of anyone at M&A. However, if finding the real Jamie was the only way to save Margaret from herself, there is no tool Gabi will not use.

If Sir helps find out what happened to Jamie, Margaret will have to reconsider her stance on Sir as a resource.

Sir’s unique perspective has been unfortunately helpful throughout Found, but since he is now in prison, their communications will be recorded. Even though Gabi is free for now, they will have to be careful not to reveal anything incriminating. What's The Best Possible Explanation For Jamie's Mysterious Story

Sir’s Accomplice Could Be Working Independently

Whoever Jamie is, he seems unconcerned that Dhan is going to test his DNA. If this really is Margaret's missing son, there is no explanation for Jamie's refusal to discuss what happened or his lack of interest in seeing his father or sister. Given his inquiry about M&A’s methodology, impostor Jamie could be there to gather intel for someone planning a kidnapping, potentially of someone close to a member of the team. Once he understands how to circumvent their process, it does not matter if he is discovered as an impostor.

New episodes of Found air Thursdays at 10 p.m. on NBC and stream next-day on Peacock. Found season 2, episode 13, "Missing While Grieving" airs February 20, 2025.

Alternatively, Sir does have an unknown, unseen accomplice he speaks on the phone to in Found season 2, episode 5. Perhaps this partner will be Found season 3 happens.
