Chapter 6 Season 3 of Chapter 6 of Fortnite has been tamer than its predecessors, but it's nonetheless been an important part of the game's story. Gameplay-wise, it may be the most balanced the game has been, with a rotating arsenal of weapons that reward those who put the time into mastering them.

Star Wars has already appeared in Fortnite multiple times, and each occurrence has been a memorable one. The cosmetics that have entered the game have covered every era of the movies and brought in the majority of notable characters. The Lightsabers, Force Powers, and Blasters have all introduced fun action that appealed to fans of the franchise and regular Fortnite players. However, this time seems poised to have a bit more impact on the beloved battle royale.

Fortnite C6S3 Is Star Wars-Themed

A Return Of The Galaxy Far Far Away

Based on leaks from multiple credible leakers, including FNBRintel on X, Season 3 of Chapter 6 will be entirely Star Wars-themed. However, this season will be different from most, exhibiting a change in Fortnite's schedule. Usually, a chapter is four seasons long, but initial reports suggest that Chapter 6 will be six or seven seasons long. Starting just before May The 4th, Season 3 will only run for about a month, kicking off on May 2nd and ending on June 8th.

This is a somewhat surprising change for Fortnite, but not entirely bad. While Star Wars is beloved, a full three months focused on it may have quickly gotten stale. Thus, the roughly 37 days it will be around is just enough to be a memorable experience without overstaying its welcome.

Everything We Know About Chapter 6: Season 3

New Galactic Entries

While most will stay hidden till an official announcement, there are some details known about Season 3. Arguably, the biggest is that it will tie into the Fortnite storyline. The Star Wars tie-ins are usually just fun little events, with the only major story inclusion to date being The Mandalorian as a recruited Hunter. However, seeing how Star Wars connects to this new island that has been seemingly jumping around its plot points will be interesting.

Initial leaks seem to point toward this update being centered around the original trilogy.

As shared by leaker Chapter 6's best landing spots. The specific identities of these characters are currently unknown, but initial leaks seem to point toward this update being centered around the original trilogy. Thus, characters like Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker are likely to make an appearance.

Cosmetics are the areas with the least information, but leaks and rumors have pointed to several skins. These skins include C-3PO, Emperor Palpatine, and Chewbacca, with the latter recently shared by ShiinaBR on X as a planned drop ahead of the season. Though less likely, there have also been some rumblings about prequel characters like Qui-Gon and Jar Jar Binks. If these two were included, it would be interesting to see if this Star Wars event focuses on the franchise as a whole and not just a specific era.

What Else Could A Star Wars Season Have?

How To Make The Season Memorable

Kylo Ren with his lightsaber ignited on Fortnite

Given how monumental of a season this is, it should attempt to expand and innovate on core Fortnite concepts. For gameplay, this should include new weapons and abilities that spice up the world. Since Palpatine and the Death Star are likely to make an appearance on the map, perhaps weapons like Force Lightning or a Death Star beam strike will be added. Lightsaber combat has already been perfected, so it would be nice to see other areas of the franchise be included.

Cosmetics are arguably the most important part, as they will stick around for most even when the season finishes. Since the battle is rumored to be small to fit the small season, most new skins, which could be among the rarest skins in Fortnite, will be relegated to the shop. I'd personally like to see General Grievous, Captain Rex, and Mace Windu as additions. Although it would be an unlikely addition, more skin styles for the Clone Trooper would also be amazing to help showcase the numerous battalions in the universe.

Overall, this mini-season could be one of the most popular and memorable in the entire franchise. Though there was some initial disappointment with the idea of a full Star Wars season, the short length and leaks have quelled much of the discontent. Still, it will be on Epic Games to prove that this idea was a good one and avoid a month-long lull in excitement. While official news should be coming in the near future, leaks still provide a solid idea of what to expect from Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3's Star Wars theme.
