Fortnite is back at it again adding new weekly challenges each week of the new season, and this week challenges were added that once completed allow players to unlock a new skin variant for TNTina. TNTina is a new character introduced in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 who is unlocked at Battle tier 40, and week three of the new season offers players 10 new challenges called the TNTina's Trial.
These 10 challenges offer players the opportunity to gain a massive amount of XP while also getting them one step closer to unlocking either the Team Ghost or Team Shadow variant of the TNTina skin. Most of these challenges are fairly straight forward and can be completed by playing Fortnite normally, but one of these challenges has players destroying structures with the use of propane tanks. This guide will help players find propane tanks and will teach them how to destroy structures with them.
Locating Propane Tanks in Fortnite
Propane tanks can only be found in one place on Battle Island... The Rig. The Rig is a new POI introduced in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 that is located on the bottom left side of the map in the middle of the ocean. This POI is populated by henchmen as well as TNTina herself who serves as the POI's boss. The heavily populated nature of The Rig can make this challenge a bit difficult, and chances are there will a few players here as well.
Luckily for players, The Rig is also heavily populated with propane tanks, so much so that if there weren't any NPCs there it would still be a fairly dangerous POI. Propane tanks can be found all over the rig inside cargo containers, on ledges, and even out in the open. With the number of propane tanks on The Rig this task should be easy to complete in one or two drops.
Destroying structures with Propane Tanks in Fortnite
Completing this task is actually easier than you'd think as propane tanks are counted as structures themselves. To complete this task, locate a propane tank and deal enough damage to it for it to explode. It is recommended that a player used a gun or explosive weapon since dealing damage to a propane tank with a pickaxe will cause it to explode but will also cause damage to a player.
Propane tanks can also be picked up by players and thrown or placed down. Placing the propane tank next to a wall or object with low health and then exploding the tank will result in multiple structures being destroyed which will count to your structure total. Once ten structures are destroyed by the explosive power of a propane tank the challenge will be complete.
