A new quest type is available in new demon bosses to fight for loot and boons.

Another new addition for the season is Expertise Quests. ing Fortnite's Kickstart, Daily, Story, and Weekly Quests, Expertise Quests are available through the end of Season 1. These quests take place in stages, and you can earn rewards for each stage completed, plus a massive reward once all stages have been completed. Here's how to complete Expertise Quests in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 and everything you earn in return.

Fortnite Expertise Quests Explained

Become A Weapons Expert

Expertise Quests in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 are tied to three specific NPCs found around Fortnite's map. You will immediately meet these characters as the first step in the Expertise questline. You will need to speak to Hope, Ryüji, or Agent Jones about Expertise and exclusive legendary weapon sales. Doing so will instantly net you 15K XP towards the season.

Are you excited about Godzilla coming to Fortnite?

It's recently been announced that the next season of Fortnite will feature Legendary's Godzilla in some fashion. Personally, I'm hoping it's more than just cosmetics and that a full-size Godzilla might start roaming the island. That would be similar to Call of Duty: Warzone a few years ago when Godzilla vs. Kong was released in 2021, and I thought that was so much fun.

Hope and Jones can be found at the new Hopeful Heights Named Location, and Ryüji spends his time north of Lost Lake, near the giant turtle POI. Once you complete the first quest stage and speak to one of them about Expertise, you will then need to complete a series of five quest stages related to different weapon types. Each stage awards 25K XP on completion, and completing all five will unlock the ability to purchase a Legendary Weapon using Gold Bars from one of those three NPCs at a discount.

Currently, only one stage is available for each weapon type. The tables below outline the Expertise quest stages currently available for each weapon.

This guide will be updated as more Expertise quest stages become available.

While Expertise quests are currently available for three NPCs and three weapon types, heavy ammo can still be found around the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 map. More Expertise quests may be added for snipers or heavy weapons later in the season. You should check the Expertise section of the Quests tab often for more details.

How To Complete Fortnite Expertise Quests

Take It One Weapon At A Time

Weapon Expertise Quests in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 appear just to be another quest type you will complete over time through regular gameplay, similar to Fortnite's Milestone Quests. However, there may be a strategy for doing the massive amounts of damage needed to clear the first quest stage for each weapon. The first is to land near other players to get into fights right from the start of the match. Another strategy is to avoid picking up Typhoon Blades and other gimmicky weapons for the start of the season in favor of prioritizing practice with the new Assault Rifles, Shotguns, and SMGs.

My suggestion for completing all Expertise Quests in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 is to focus on completing the quests for one or two favored weapons at a time. I always have a Shotgun in my loadout and often an Assault Rifle. Because I'm most inclined to use favored weapons, it will be much easier to do the requisite damage per stage quickly and unlock the discount sooner in the season.

Once you have unlocked the discounted rate for purchasing Legendary Weapons in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, it may be a good idea to choose which NPCs around the island sell Legendaries. That way, you can land near those NPCs, grab your discounted weapon toward the start of the match, and use it to get an edge and perhaps even a Victory Royale. New NPCs can appear throughout a Fortnite season, but for now, the table below shows which NPCs carry Legendary weapons and where to find them.
