If you're planning to use the Greatsword in The First Berserker: Khazan, my personal recommendation for best build utilizes the Fugitive Mage set. This is an eight-piece set with some of the best Greatsword buffs available in the game. You'll want to invest heavily into Strength and Proficiency for the ultimate Greatsword build, but don't sleep on Vitality and Endurance either, as the Greatsword can sometimes be slower than the other two weapons in The First Berserker: Khazan.

This build also takes into consideration an earlier available Greatsword set, the Devourer of Darkness set, which you can craft relatively early at the Blacksmith in The First Berserker: Khazan. This is my recommendation for the mid-game stages, and it is one of the few sets in the game that features poison status effects. Both the Fugitive Mage set and Devourer of Darkness set have their own unique features and benefits, and you should try them both out to see which one you enjoy better and what fits your playstyle best.

Devourer Of Darkness & Fugitive Mage Sets Are OP

The Devourer of Darkness set enhances the Ghost Arm Block skill in the Greatsword tree and will deal poison damage to enemies with a Brutal Attack once you have five pieces equipped. It will also increase poison damage on enemies, making it one of the best options for poison sets in the game. The Devourer of Darkness set includes the Devourer of Darkness Greatsword, Helm, Top, Wristguards, Pants, and Shoes. The Devourer of Darkness Greatsword itself has a fixed attribute that allows Khazan to use the Mad Dash skill.

Best Stats & Skills For A Greatsword Build In Khazan

Invest In Strength, Proficiency, & Vitality

As a Greatsword wielder, I recommend investing in Vitality to offset some of the damage you may take due to the weapon's slower attacks. You'll need a decent amount of Endurance as well, but these two should balance with your playstyle - you shouldn't need to go too heavily into either one. To enhance your Greatsword's power, you'll want to invest primarily in Strength and secondarily in Proficiency.

In of the best Greatsword skills in First Berserker Khazan, Ghost Arm Block is the best Greatsword skill in general, but with the Devourer of Darkness set it will be buffed even more. Once you get the Fugitive Mage set, you'll want to start focusing more on Guard skills, particularly the Armor Breaker and Heart Piercer Guard skills in the Greatsword tree. Your best active skill options are Titanic Decent, Giant Hunt, and Phantom: Night's Veil, but you should experiment with different skills based on your preferred playstyle.
