The Human Torch of Doctor Doom.

In last year's historic wedding issue, Doctor Doom appeared to extend an olive branch to the Fantastic Four as the team was invited to Latveria to witness the wedding between the dictator Victor Von Doom and his bride Victorious. Although Doom treated his guests with the same amount of spite as always, he did appear to have changed slightly, as he astonishingly asked Reed Richards to be his best man at the wedding. Reed accepts, but seconds before vows are exchanged at the wedding, Victorious confesses to her would-be husband that "I have been intimate...with Johnny Storm."

As a direct consequence of Johnny's actions, Doctor Doom attacks all heroes present. At the end of the battle, he shows Johnny a cruel form of mercy by letting him live - but supercharging his power so he remains in his burning form forever, and can no longer shut off his flames. Johnny probably would not have acted so rashly if he had children of his own to defend, like Reed has with Sue or Ben has with Alicia (albeit adopted). Furthermore, Johnny's potential future lies not with Victorious, but with the alien Kaila.

Kaila hails from the planet Spyra, and have far more than a one-night stand that binds the two. They are connected via a soul-bond, and are soulmates both figuratively and literally. Unfortunately, they are connected in other ways: when Doom forced Johnny Storm to be a "true Human Torch" (as Doom puts it), Kaila mutated into a much more animalistic and avian form.

There remains a chance, however distant, that Victorious is actually pregnant with Johnny's child. One can imagine a future in which Johnny must raise his child with Kaila - that is, unless Victorious decides to keep the child and raise her as a loyal servant of Doctor Doom (the dictator of her home country Latveria). As horrific as this family situation may be, it would be a perfect lesson for the Human Torch to learn courtesy of Doctor Doom: his hot-headed actions affect all those around him, even the unborn.
