However, they'll likely need to receive their powers and origins in their own reality first.

At Marvel Studios' Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, it was confirmed by Kevin Feige that Marvel's First Family is set to return for both the newly retitled Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, both of which will be directed by the Russo Brothers. These new appearances will be happening after the 2025 release of their solo movie Fantastic Four: First Steps from director Matt Shakman. To that end, this new confirmation from Marvel Studios does theories that The Fantastic Four eventually interact with characters and events beyond their retro-future reality.

Retro-Future Reality To Battleworld?

Currently, it's been confirmed that The Fantastic Four will debut in their own reality set apart from the MCU's main Earth-616 timeline. Taking place in a retro-futuristic version of the 1960s, it's expected that Fantastic Four: First Steps will essentially have a kind of Tomorrowland-type vibe as Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm (Vanessa Kirby), and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) all gain their power and become a family of superheroes. However, this new announcement from Marvel Studios suggests The Fantastic Four won't remain in their alternate reality for long.

With the confirmation that both Galactus and his herald Silver Surfer are set to be featured in the MCU movie, it's not hard to imagine the cosmic World Devourer consuming The Fantastic Four's world or even entire reality. It would be a tragic act that could force Marvle's First Family to find a new home in the multiverse, perhaps Earth-616. However, it's also possible that an even bigger crisis could bring The Fantastic Four in with the Avengers.

With the MCU currently amid its Multiverse Saga, Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars are expected to bring the era to a close with a major multiverse-ending epic. To that end, destructive incursions could begin to rise, as entire timelines and dimensions collide and are merged to form the realm known as Battleworld (as seen in the original comics versions of Secret Wars). At any rate, it's very exciting to learn that The Fantastic Four will indeed be featured in both of the next Avengers movies.
