Pedro Jimeno and Chantel Everett have publicly announced their divorce to 90 Day Fiancé and over four seasons of The Family Chantel, many viewers are upset that their relationship has taken such a drastic turn.
The series follows Pedro and Chantel, as well as their families, showing how they all blend together and handle their cultural differences. They were fan-favorites from 90 Day Fiancé season 4 and were given their own spin-off so viewers could see more of their interesting dynamic. Though they have overcome many hurdles in their relationship, the pair seems to be at a breaking point in The Family Chantel season 4.
Pedro and Chantel have had explosive fights on the show, which has even led to physical violence at a family dinner, with the show's producers having to break it up. Meanwhile, this season of The Family Chantel has Chantel slamming doors on Pedro. Pedro and Chantel have also been whining about each other to their partner's parents. Chantel told Pedro's mom that he does not do anything around the house and does not want to spend time with her; Pedro told Chantel's mom that she is lazy and she does not do any work, and fans cannot decide which one of them is pettier.
One of the key storylines on The Family Chantel season 4 is Pedro's possible infidelity with a co-worker. While Chantel seemed to want to work on their marriage, fans are turning against Pedro, saying that he has been using her and no longer cares about their relationship. Their divorce continues to get messier, as Antonella Barrenechea, the co-worker Pedro is accused of having an affair with, is barely out of high school (according to her Instagram) and 10 years Pedro's junior.
Pedro filed for divorce from Chantel on May 27, 2022, though they have been separated for far longer. According to Pedro and Chantel's divorce coming, but their behavior throughout the separation and legal actions against one another shocked many viewers.
