Disney+'s Andor Star Wars show is set in between Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: A New Hope, specifically five years before the events of Rogue One, and here is every known canon Jedi still alive at that point in the timeline. While the Jedi will likely not feature in significant ways in Andor's story (if at all), there are still many alive in the galaxy at this point despite the Empire's reign. From survivors of Order 66 to undiscovered Jedi explored in other Star Wars projects, some Force-sensitives are still around.

Andor focuses on the story of the titular spy five years before he participates in the stealing of the Death Star plans in Rogue One. Andor season 1 opens with Andor navigating his life under Imperial reign before a series of unfortunate events lead him to Luthen, a man hellbent on fighting the Empire from the shadows. The first season promises to introduce Andor to established characters that were instrumental in the Rebel Alliance's origins, such as Saw Gerrera and Mon Mothma.

As expected given the talent behind the camera of Andor, and the type of character it focuses on, the show's first three episodes have a huge spy-thriller vibe. Due to the more grounded nature of Andor, it is highly unlikely any Jedi will feature on the show outside a potential Vader cameo given the Empire's presence. That being said, here is every Jedi still alive during the time of Andor season 1.

Yoda

Star Wars Master Yoda Force Ghost

One of the Jedi shown to survive Order 66 during Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith was Yoda. Yoda was on Kashyyyk aiding the Republic-allied Wookies during a battle against the Separatists when Order 66 began, defeating his clone escort and escaping the planet. At the point in the timeline in which Andor takes place, Yoda is still alive and in hiding on Dagobah. Yoda's exploits in between this period and The Empire Strikes Back when he begins to train Luke Skywalker are unknown, but he is at least one of the few surviving Jedi during the reign of the Empire.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi-Wan Kenobi riding an animal through the desert in the show of the same name.

Another of the Jedi shown surviving Order 66 during Episode III was Obi-Wan Kenobi. Kenobi, similar to Yoda, was fighting a battle on Utapau that was pivotal to the Clone Wars. After defeating General Grievous in battle, Kenobi rides off to finish the battle against the Separatist army before being attacked by Commander Cody when the Order is given. Kenobi, again like Yoda, escapes and meets up with his Grand Master before beginning his life in exile on Tatooine to protect Luke Skywalker. BBY 5 would place Kenobi exactly here, still on Tatooine watching over Luke. The events of Obi-Wan Kenobi take place four years prior, meaning Obi-Wan likely didn't leave Tatooine again until A New Hope.

Anakin Skywalker

While Anakin's inclusion on this list can be argued against given he is technically Darth Vader in BBY 5, his later redemption in Return of the Jedi means there is still some Jedi light inside him at this point. At the point of Andor taking place, Anakin Skywalker is still Darth Vader, the right-hand man to Emperor Palpatine. At this point in the Star Wars timeline, Vader is mainly tracking down former Jedi with his Inquisitors as shown in Star Wars: Rebels which begins in the same year as Andor takes place.

Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka Tano's survival of Order 66 was shown in the final arc of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Much like her former masters, Obi-Wan and Yoda, Ahsoka was on her way back to Coruscant after fighting a pivotal battle in the war. When the Order was called in, Ahsoka was attacked by her trusted friend Rex and the rest of her squad, having to rely on help from former Sith Lord Maul to escape. After she does, Ahsoka goes into hiding to escape the Empire. During BBY 5, it is highly likely that Ahsoka will be assisting the fledgling Rebel Alliance as Star Wars: Rebels shows Ahsoka's first dealings as Fulcrum assisting the Ghost crew during the same year, meaning Ahsoka is alive and well at the time of Andor.

Kanan Jarrus & Ezra Bridger

Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger Star Wars Rebels

Another two Jedi introduced in Star Wars: Rebels are Kanan and Ezra. Kanan was shown to survive Order 66 during the events of Star Wars: The Bad Batch when he still answered to his original name, Caleb Dume. After taking on the alias of Kanan Jarrus and ing the crew of the Ghost, Kanan finds a young Force-sensitive boy named Ezra Bridger in BBY 5 on the planet Lothal. Kanan then takes Ezra on as his Jedi apprentice, and the two scour the galaxy helping those from the iron grip of the Empire with the rest of the Ghost crew.

Grogu

Grogu aka Baby Yoda in The Mandalorian Season 2

A character introduced in The Mandalorian, Grogu is a young Jedi of Yoda's species that was alive during the time of the Republic. As shown in The Book of Boba Fett, Grogu was at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant when Order 66 took place, while still unclear how he escaped the temple. However, it is known that Grogu did, eventually finding his way to Arvala-7 where Din Djarin found him in ABY 9. While Grogu's journey between these two points is largely unknown, he was alive somewhere in the galaxy during BBY 5 so he is around during Andor's time period.

Quinlan Vos

Quinlan Vos as he appeared in Clone Wars

Quinlan Vos was a Jedi during the Clone Wars, who appeared a few times in the show of the same name. While it wasn't revealed what happened to Quinlan Vos during Order 66, Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 3 revealed that he was alive and aiding the Path in escaping the Empire during BBY 9. While again, it is unclear what happened to Vos after this point, it is highly unlikely that he perished in the four years separating these points in time and he is likely alive during Andor's timeline unless another piece of Star Wars canon states otherwise in the future.

Cal Kestis & Cere Junda

It's unlikely any Jedi: Fallen Order characters will appear in Obi-Wan Kenobi, but the two projects may reference each other's narratives.

Much like Quinlan Vos, Cal Kestis and Cere Junda are two Jedi whose fate is up in the air outside of speculation. The duo are two of the main characters of the video game series Star Wars Jedi. The game in the series Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to feature the duo again, and is confirmed to take place in BBY 9, the same year as Obi-Wan Kenobi leading to many Cal Kestis theories when that show aired. This is also the last confirmed sighting of Quinlan Vos. Like Vos, it is highly unlikely Cal and Cere both die in the time between this and Andor, though it remains to be seen when Jedi: Survivor releases in 2023 what fate befalls the characters.

While there are likely other Jedi who survived Order 66, likely in the many novels and comics released in the Star Wars franchise, this list consists of the main, more well-known Jedi that are still alive during BBY 5 from Star Wars films, TV shows, and games. As Andor is telling the story of the very beginning of the Rebellion, the show could confirm a few other names of Jedi who are alive at this time. That being said, most that are known are included here, with some potential appearances (like Ahsoka as Fulcrum) set for the rest of the series.

New episodes of Andor release on Wednesdays on Disney+.
