Just short of the highly anticipated anime release on April 3, Netflix drops one more bombshell on the eager fanbase in the form of a lyric video featuring the collaboration between Evanescence and Devil May Cry. This video is a blend of quality animation by Studio Mir coupled together with the amazing vocals of Amy Lee, bringing back an era of music from the early 2000s when the video game franchise was at its most popular.
Evanescence's new single is featured in full within this new promotional video, showcasing the lyrics stylized into the animation of Devil May Cry's quick-paced action and thrilling battles. For fans who are looking forward to the music itself, Evanescence stated via X (Formerly Twitter) that 'Afterlife' will be released tonight on March 27 at midnight and the rest of Devil May Cry's soundtrack will drop on the same day the anime is expected to premiere on Netflix.

New Music Video is Perfectly Stylized for Both Audiences
Netflix is pulling all of the stops when it comes to promoting its new hit anime of the season, Devil May Cry, by continuously dropping teasers and promotional videos leading up to its actual release date. Due to the efforts of Studio Mir and creative lead producer Adi Shankar, there is no shortage of fans who are not excited about the anime whether they are looking forward to the animation itself or the soundtrack that is set to release along with it.

"Anime Is Not Prepared": Devil May Cry Is Ready to Become Netflix's Next Castlevania
Devil May Cry is the latest anime by the team behind Netflix's Castlevania, and it's all set to be an even bigger hit for old and new fans alike.
Evanescence makes for the perfect band to highlight a single celebrating Devil May Cry’s anime, given that they both were popularized around the same time and share a lot of similarities when it comes to the soundtrack with the game mirroring the sound Evanescence is most known for, alternative gothic metal/rock. With the full release of ‘Afterlife’, fans from every part of the two franchises agree that there is no better sound for the grungy dark fantasy landscape that Devil May Cry wreathes itself with.

New Scenes in the Lyric Video Reveal More About the Anime Than Previous Trailers
With the release of this music video, Netflix is divulging even more of the story than fans are ready for. Given its full scope of around four minutes, the video goes into not only Dante’s history, but Lady’s as well, as they first oppose each other in what may be the first few episodes. To rise against the actual antagonist of the series though, you see them begin to work together later on in the video. Evanescence x Devil May Cry’s lyric video may only see more views rise as the audience returns to see what details they may have missed as episode by episode the anime begins to come out.
