And while she never dresses as patriotically as she vocalizes she is, it’s not hard to notice her pride and confidence when wearing a costume with a patriotic flare, even if it is American. If given the chance, Elsa might not turn down a chance to become Captain Britain.

However, Captain Britain isn’t the same kind of hero that Captain America is; the title serves a much higher purpose. More than just a patriotic super soldier, Captain Britain is only one of many across the multiverse chosen by Merlyn to protect their realities and the fantastical Arthurian dimension called Otherworld.

With Betsy having abandoned her duties as Captain Britain to focus on the ongoing struggle for mutant rights, someone else needs to fill the role.
