One impressively dedicated cosplayer took their Elden Ring Melina cosplay to a whole new level by including the character's iconic steed in their recreation. Melina is the Elden Ring character who grants the player use of the game's horse-goat hybrid, who acts as the player's companion and mount throughout their journey. It seems only fitting, therefore, that Torrent makes an appearance alongside Melina in a very extreme way.
Photos shared by mark on one closed eye. The most eye-catching element of the costume, though, is the life-sized horned horse standing beside her. The images, taken in Maryland's annual anime convention Katsucon, show Melina and her huge 3D-printed version of Elden Ring's mount, Torrent.
Many in the comments are amazed at the cosplayer's dedication, commending them for going the extra mile with the faithful Torrent recreation. Redditor Screwbles writes, "You wouldn't 3D print a horse," a tongue-in-cheek reference to anti-piracy ad campaigns from the early 2000s.
3D-Printed Version Of Elden Ring's Torrent Is Impressive
Unfortunately, Torrent Is Not Rideable
Fans would be forgiven for confusing the life-sized horse for a real one, as I certainly did when I first saw this image. "It was so fun seeing everyone's reaction to a horse at the middle of the con floor," says ordinarymizu. The entire horse took about two weeks just to print, while the project as a whole took a month and a half to get as polished as it appears in the images.

Elden Ring Nightreign: All New & Returning Bosses Confirmed (So Far)
More information about Elden Ring Nightreign is becoming clear, and an impressive list of bosses – both new and from other games – is forming.
Torrent is ed mostly by PVC pipes and weighs about 25 kg (roughly 55 pounds), and his head and legs are detachable. Fabric and a flowing mane were added so that it "looks more realistic," with some stunningly life-like results. Unfortunately, the in-game mount cannot be ridden into battle in real life, since Torrent is hollow on the inside to keep the build's weight down. Despite not being usable as an actual mount, the cosplay Torrent is still an amazing creation, complete with a saddle and bridle.
The Entire Melina Cosplay Is Impressive, Not Just The Horse
The Mount Might Steal The Show But The Whole Cosplay Is On-Point
The Melina cosplay is understandably overshadowed by the 3D-printed steed, since that's what catches the eye immediately when seeing this getup. However, the actual Melina costume looks fantastic too, from the design down the front of her dress to the clasp holding her cape in place. The cosplayer also holds Melina's Blade of Calling, completing the ensemble.
It's always incredible to see what costume artists come up with, from the most beautiful costumes to some of the creepiest creations I've ever seen. Even without the accompanying mount, this cosplay by ordinarymizu is an expertly-made representation of the character from Elden Ring. Altogether, the complete cosplay is beyond impressive and would certainly have me doing a double take on the convention floor.
