The Blizzard Entertainment and founder of Dreamhaven, showcased the brand's new releases in partnership with The Game Awards, marking the first-ever showcase for Dreamhaven. The company was founded in 2020 after Morhaime's 2018 departure from Blizzard.
Speaking to IGN at the Game Developers Conference, Morhaim stated that he wants Dreamhaven to "build a reputation with gamers" and have its name "[stand] for something, a seal of quality," to create trust with consumers and create excitement for all of its titles, regardless of their genre. Dreamhaven's current lineup of games consists of Lynked: Banner of the Spark, Sunderfolk, Wildgate, and Mechabellum. Two of the games will be released with Dreamhaven's studios, Moonshot Games and Secret Door. The others were developed by Fuzzybot and Game River but published under the Dreamhaven brand.
Everything We Know About Dreamhaven's Four Games
Dreamhaven Has Created Some Unique Titles That Will Appeal To A Variety Of Players
There's truly something for everyone in Dreamhaven's lineup, and one title in particular is already capturing positive reviews in its early access release. Fuzzybot's Lynked: Banner of the Spark, a "vibrant roguelite RPG," will release to the public on May 1. In the game, players fight robot enemies, using their parts to build and upgrade their homes. Lynked currently has a 9/10 rating on Steam, a great sign for both players and Dreamhaven.
Sunderfolk, a turn-based co-op RPG, will release on April 23 on Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam. Perfect for players who couldn't get enough of Baldur's Gate 3, Sunderfolk involves protecting the mystical town of Arden from corruption by guarding their brightstone, all that remains of an ancient magical crystal. Players won't need any extra controllers to dive into this adventure — those starting a game will only need to scan a QR code, the Sunderfolk app, and use their phones to navigate the Sunderlands. Sunderfolk was developed by Dreamhaven's own Secret Door studio.
Fans of the heist genre can check out Wildgate, Moonshot Games' contribution to Dreamhaven's lineup. Far from your average first-person shooter, Wildgate will take players through outer space as they sneak, sabotage, and fight their way through enemy ships. Like Sunderfolk, Wildgate will release on Steam, PS5, and Xbox sometime in 2025.
Finally, Mechabellum, a Mad Max-esque car battler, roared onto the scene in September 2024. Initially released under Game River, Dreamhaven has taken over as publisher and plans to keep Mechabellum updated with new, innovative content. The game currently has a "very positive" rating on Steam and can be played solo or with co-op.
Our Take: Can Dreamhaven Act As "Beacon For The Industry" As Claimed?
It's Difficult To Maintain Player Favor In An Ever-Changing Industry Environment
Morhaime has ambitious plans for Dreamhaven, plans that go beyond a four-game release announcement. In an interview five years ago, Morhaime told IGN:
"We want, if I may be so bold as to say, to be a beacon to the industry. There's a better way of approaching the business of games and the operation of a game company that can produce great results, both in of products and financial reward and work environment, and that maybe can help elevate the entire industry."
Player loyalty can and will change with the snap of a finger, and in a gaming culture where people are always seeking the newest and best, studios have to maintain a balancing act between creating quality content and fulfilling demand. Dreamhaven benefits from strong, experienced leadership in Morhaime and has staffed itself with creative industry veterans.

Blizzard Confirms There Will Be No BlizzCon 2025, But There Is Something Huge In The Works For 2026
Blizzard has confirmed that Blizzcon 2025 has been canceled, but fans are now able to look forward to 2026, as Blizzcon is making a comeback.
With this lineup, Dreamhaven has shown it's committed to crafting unique, off-the-beaten path games that are certain to grab attention. By staying true to Morhaime's intentions, this studio started by ex-Blizzard leads can certainly become the beacon they hope to be.
