First Female Fusion

Kefla 1

Unless you're a rabid Dragon Ball fanatic, Kefla's origin story might have escaped your attention. But according to dragonball.fandom.com, the fact remains that Kefla is a weaponized Fusion of Kale and Caulifla, two female Saiyans hailing from Universe 6. She is the first female fusion in the series.

Upon receiving the mystical Potara earrings, Kale and Caulifla become fused as one before Goku slays them for good. In their absence arises Kefla, a formidable warrior who challenged Goku with increased powers. in one of his biggest battles ever.

Limited Fusion Power

Kefla 2

Although she is the first female Fusion in the Dragon Ball Super series, Kefla's weaponized powers come with a time limit. Kefla only has the ability to retain her Fusion for one hour. If she transforms before 60-minutes, her Fusion can last even shorter.

What this does is limit the amount of damage Kefla can do at any one time. If she's forced into battle, she must exert as much force as possible when she's in the throes of her ultra-powerful Fusion.

Voiced By Two Different Actresses

Kefla 4

One of the ways that the series' creators reinforced Kefla's nature as a Fusion of Kale and Caulifla is by hiring two different actresses to voice one character. Kefla is voiced by both Japanese actress Yukana, who voices Caulifla, and Yuka Komatsu, who voices Kale in Dragon Ball Super. The two female voices are combined to form one.

Another weird fact about Kefla is that, despite being a hybrid of Kale and Caulifla, her name is pronounced as Kefura in the Japanese series.

Ten Times The Power Of Kale & Caulifla

Kefla 5

According to Vados in Dragon Ball Super episode 114, Kefla's superhuman abilities are also a combination of Kale and Caulifla's powers at peak form, multiplied to the tenth degree. This means Kefla can do everything her counterparts can do times ten.

In the same episode, it is revealed that Kefla is given the ability by Kale to channel her Legendary Super Saiyan form. While she was born a Super Saiyan, her Legendary form allows her to access even more power.

Personality Closely Resembles Caulifla's

Kefla 6

Although Kefla is the physical, spiritual, and powerful embodiment of both Kale and Caulifla fused as one, her personality draws far heavier from one than the other.

Kefla's personality traits consist of being overconfident to the point of being harmfully cocksure. She not only dismisses Goku's attacks as lame, but Kefla is also a bit pompous and prone to boast about her newfound powers, much like the impulsive Caulifla.

Video Game Character In Dragon Ball Heroes

Kefla 6

Casual fans of the iconic Dragon Ball canon may have missed the fact that Kefla is a character who you can play in the original spinoff arcade game, Dragon Ball Heroes.

In specific, Kefla can be chosen as a character during Mission 7 of the videogame, which was released in 2010. In 2016, the game was updated to increase interactivity and was renamed Super Dragon Ball Heroes. The game allows s to choose one of eight "hero avatars" with three distinct fighting styles.

Fought Gohan In The Manga

Kefla 8

One of the things Dragon Ball fans have had to endure over the years is the changes made from the manga volumes to the small screen adaptation. In Dragon Ball Super, Kefla uses her Super Saiyan powers to irably combat Goku before forcing him to morph into Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken.

The Power Of A Spirit Bomb

Kefla 9

In addition to being fused from the first female to fight in The Tournament of Power (Caulifla), Kefla's immense powers as a Super Saiyan just might be akin to that of a Spirit Bomb, according to a postulation put forth Whis.

In ruminating over how fighters in the tournament tend to grow stronger, Whis entertains the notion that Kefla's power is equal to that of the Spirit Bombs, one of the strongest attacks in the Dragon Ball series invented by King Kai.

Altered Appearance

Kefla 10

Another weird fact about Kefla is that, when she first appeared in the anime series, she did not initially appear in the Super Saiyan form as she should have. Instead, she first appeared in her base form.

When two Super Saiyans create a Fusion with the Potara earrings, they are supposed to immediately form one Super Saiyan. Kefla was created as a Fusion between Kale and Caulifla and was therefore born a Super Saiyan. And yet when she first appears, she's still in her natural, unevolved state.

Almighty Ki Control

Kefla 3

Although her personality mirrors Kale's belligerent nature and Caulifla's spontaneity, when it comes to controlling her almighty ki, Kefla is on another level.

When she powers up to a Super Saiyan 2, Goku's Ultra Instinct Sign. Moreover, her ability to control her explosive ki blasts with pinpoint precision allowed her to shockingly scathe Goku by striking him in the arm and singeing some hair. Her ki control also allows Kefla to shield punches from Goku in Ultra Instinct Sign form.
