Fans are getting even more excited as more screenshots of the Dragon Ball content means more characters to be added to Dragon Ball Legends, including variations of recurring characters such as Gohan and Piccolo.

However, both in and beyond the Dragon Ball Super anime and its films there are quite a few characters who haven't made it into the game yet. Many fans still anticipate characters from the manga or even special versions of their favorites to appear.

Moro

Planet-Eater Moro in the Dragon Ball Super Manga

Moro's arc wrapped up a while ago, and Dragon Ball Legends has yet to adapt anything from the manga. Whether they are waiting for the manga to get a new adaptation or just waiting to create a few other characters first is currently unknown, but it seems doubtless that Moro and variations of him will be added to the game

In some cases, Dragon Ball Legends has been running dry on characters, so beginning to pull from the manga would be one of their best options. Moro's abilities would efficiently drain the opponent's ki and weaken or null certain attacks with a Special Skill or Special Ability. Moro, after obtaining Seven-Three's abilities, would be a perfect unit with the ability to snatch some of the opposing enemy's abilities, too.

Gods of Destruction

It's not a big surprise that the only two Dragon Ball Super gods of destruction to enter the game thus far are Beerus and Champa, but in time the others will need to be added as well.

Thanks to the manga, all of their powers have been displayed in some fashion, making it possible for the game developers to create a version of their character with accurate abilities. Belmod could one day flash in, throwing playing cards, while Liquiir would likely have an ability that splits his three tails into nine, either to fire ki blasts or to deflect an opponent's back at them.

Granolah

Granolah looking serious in Dragon Ball.

Like Moro, Granolah is another manga character who needs to make way to Dragon Ball Legends. Being central to the current arc in Dragon Ball Super and bent on revenge, this character has quickly grown rather popular with fans.

Granolah's unique fighting style with his precise attacks striking pressure points and sniping enemies from afar would make him a fun character to see in the game with an intriguing cutscene for a Special Move or Ultimate. Two abilities that could be given to Granolah are one that allows all of his moves to temporarily paralyze his opponents and the other that increases his strength as he takes on more damage.

Adult Goten

The Dragon Ball Heroes characters.

While Goten may be the more favorable option for an adult unit, given players already have multiple adult Trunks via Future Trunks, it wouldn't be a terrible idea to have Trunks as a ing part of Goten's character. Much like how Broly and Cheelai's character works. Additionally, it would be a perfect opportunity to tack in the fusion technique as an added transformation ability. Something that surprisingly hasn't been done yet in Legends.

Super Saiyan God Future Trunks

It's needless to say that Dragon Ball Legends needs to begin adding more Dragon Ball Heroes characters, and in time, they likely will. However, among those one of the most necessary is Super Saiyan God Future Trunks.

His design is arguably the best out of any of the others who can transform into this state and with his status as being the main character of Dragon Ball Heroes he would be a perfect early pick, especially as a potential Legends Limited. There aren't many effects or skills that separate Super Saiyan God Future Trunks from his other versions, but unique abilities with the firey aura of this form's god ki would help visually.

Super Saiyan 4 Broly

Broly as Super Saiyan 4 in Dragon Ball.

It doesn't matter whether it's figures, movies, or video games, creators always seem to use one of the strongest Dragon Ball movie villains to the fullest extent--Broly. That has been the case in Dragon Ball Heroes and that will likely be the case in Dragon Ball Legends as well.

Outside of his movie material, Super Saiyan 4 (or perhaps rather, Legendary Super Saiyan 4) Broly would be the next best pick for a character to appear in Dragon Ball Legends. Compared to the other characters, he may be a bit farfetched for now. But it's always enjoyable to see Broly blitz through opponents so much smaller than him and rocket them out of the area with a powerful blow. The Broly units are typically one of the strongest when added to the game and a Super Saiyan 4 Broly shouldn't be any different.

Four Witches Tien Shinhan

One fan-favorite character missing from Dragon Ball Legends is Tien Shinhan, and there aren't many better choices for him than the Four Witches technique version.

Dragon Ball Legends has an incredible shortage of characters from the first Dragon Ball anime, especially Sparking characters, so this would be an ideal pick. It could also be a Dragon Ball Super version of the character, seeing as how Tien does use the technique once in the anime, a great moment playing on nostalgia. A mix of the two would also work with the art possibly suggesting it's from Super, but the cutscenes for his Ultimate being from Dragon Ball in his battle against Goku.

Ultra Ego Vegeta

Ultra Ego Vegeta roaring in rage in Dragon Ball.

Every major transformation for Vegeta has made it into the game, except for this one. Due to it being a manga transformation, it obviously hasn't quite made the cut yet, but in time it should. Ultra Ego isn't the best fit for Vegeta, but it is a good idea for a video game. Hopefully, once some of the manga characters get into the game, this will be one of the early ones added.

This form would do excellent by paralleling Vegeta's past moments throughout Dragon Ball Z. Ultra Ego is a bit too similar to Majin Vegeta, however, it was still written as an excellent way to show fans Vegeta's past self again. The game could do this as well by giving him various attacks that he uses against Granolah as well as in Dragon Ball Z. Its doubtful fans will get to see this form in the movie, so if manga versions are getting pushed back to wait for the anime they will have to wait!

Dragon Fist: Super Saiyan 3 Goku

Dragon Fist Super Saiyan 3 Goku in Dragon ball.

It's actually surprising that this version of Goku hasn't made it into Dragon Ball Legends at all. There are a few Super Saiyan 3 Goku's and one Super Saiyan 4 Goku with Dragon Fist, but no Super Saiyan 3 Goku with the Dragon Fist from the Wrath of the Dragon film.

It does seem doubtless they are saving this unit for a special occasion. Dragon Fist has become one of the most iconic techniques in Dragon Ball and is usually part of the same conversation when discussing Super Saiyan 3. Beyond anything else, Dragon Fist has to be utilized in this form as a Legends Finish, forming the final cutscene of when Goku kills Hirudegarn in the movie. How long they will wait to add the character is unknown, but it will without a doubt be one of the best characters in the game.

MUI Goku

This is probably the most anticipated unit in the game, and it's shocking he hasn't been released yet. Many fans theorized he would be the anniversary unit in 2021, however that ended up being Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. The 2022 anniversary is thankfully right around the corner, so fans are crossing their fingers that this will be the primary unit released during the event.

Mastered Ultra Instinct Goku is one of the coolest forms in the series and will certainly be one of the most overpowered and strongest characters in Dragon Ball Legends. With Ultra Instinct Omen already in the game, the mechanics of how MUI Goku will shift to evade a limited amount of attacks is already known. But the last question remains of what Goku's Legends Finish will look like? Most likely his declaration to Jiren before he pummels him saying, "Anyone who tries to hurt my friends is gonna pay!"
