DC is heightening anticipation for Lois’s debut as Superwoman by keeping details about the Daily Planet Editor-in-Chief’s new meta status under wraps. While it’s confirmed that Lois is indeed the Superwoman featured in stunning covers by Dan Mora, Simone Di Meo, and Carla Cohen, fans have little else to go on. The main questions are how Lois acquired her powers and how long they will last. Speculation is running wild, with theories ranging from the conservative—she gained her powers through an experiment—to the more outlandish, such as her being pregnant and the developing fetus granting her temporary powers while in utero.
One thing fans know for sure is that Lois Lane looks phenomenal in her husband’s iconic red, blue, and yellow suit. Mora’s main cover for the issue offers the best preview of what to expect, as he is the lead artist on the series. Therefore, the suit will closely resemble Clark’s, but with unique adjustments. Lois’s version features a lighter, brighter blue and an “S” shield that extends from her chest to cover her shoulders. The costume also includes a high collar and more yellow accents, visible at the tips of her boots and gloves. Additionally, Mora is reintroducing the All-Star yellow bubbles, enhancing the suit’s striking and recognizable appearance.
