A now-deleted page on new DLC's teaser trailer come Monday, March 15. As of now, though, the post-launch content's second act lacks a firm release date.
DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods - Part One went live last fall near the end of October. The standalone DLC took place following the events of the base game, adding in new story content, fresh enemy types, and more demon-slaying fun. And the shooter, in general, has received nothing short of positive word-of-mouth from players, which certainly seems as though it's translating well to the id Software-developed title's market performance. Notably, a former id Software employee recently divulged DOOM Eternal earned $450 million in revenue within a nine-month timeframe. The eventual arrival of The Ancient Gods - Part Two will likely see Bethesda rake in even more revenue from the latest DOOM installment.
Interestingly, Bethesda's official digital store recently leaked details about the DLC's second part. Though the publisher quickly removed the leaks in question, MP1st managed to save gameplay screenshots, as well as a look at the cover art. The game's Steam page additionally leaked Achievement/Trophy details, though they, too, have since been removed.
Most notably, the above screenshots offer a glimpse at the new locales DOOM Eternal players can expect to explore whenever The Ancient Gods - Part Two DLC drops. How much each area will actually feature in the content remains to be seen, of course, but it seems fans have plenty to look forward to when the time comes. And though, Bethesda and id remain cagey about release details for the second DOOM Eternal DLC, the list of Achievements/Trophies indicates the DLC may launch sometime soon. Hopefully, specifics will be shared when the content's first teaser trailer goes live next week on March 15.
Fans are also patiently awaiting more information about the Xbox Series X|S upgrades for DOOM Eternal. Few details are known as of yet, but a developer update from id Software late last year promised the upgrades would become available sometime in 2021.
DOOM Eternal is out now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
