ONE SCHOOL UNDER DOOM! That is the exciting premise of Marvel's Doom Academy series, which will see the iconic students of Strange Academy relocated to Latveria to study under the domineering tutelage of the villainous Doctor Doom. The recent Blood Hunt event saw Victor von Doom claiming the title of Sorcerer Supreme from Doctor Strange, before using the combined powers of the Strange Academy students to save the world.
The students of Strange Academy had a wild, tumultuous first year at their magical school, facing down enemies like the Dread Dormammu and their villainous classmate Emily Bright, and their second year is clearly going to be no different.
Doom Academy, from author Mackenzie Cadenhead and artist Pasqual Ferry, follows Strange Academy students like Doyle, Zoe, Shaylee, Guslaug, and Toth as they get a very different kind of magical education from the infamous Victor von Doom, with their second year of schooling promising to be as wild, if not more, than their first. Marvel's announcement reveals the official solicit for Doom Academy:
Did you think that Strange Academy would be the same in the world with Doctor Doom as Sorcerer Supreme?! NO! It is now DOOM ACADEMY! Relocated from New Orleans to Latveria, the best magic school in the world just got better (according to some). It’s the start of the second year for Strange Academy students, and you know that things will not go as planned!

Doctor Doom's Huge New Power Upgrade Makes Him Immune to the Fantastic Four's Powers
After becoming Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Doom has locked away Latveria from the rest of the world, and the Fantastic Four want to figure out why.
Strange Academy Played A Major Role In Doom's Ascendence
But how will the students fare in their new Latverian school?
The Strange Academy students have been to hell and back - literally - during their first year at Doctor Strange's school, and their incredible experiences have at least somewhat prepared them for the intense trials and tribulations that will come from being Doom's pupils. In the recent Blood Hunt event a handful of Strange Academy students went on a mission to find the living Darkhold, in a bid to use the Montesi Formula to erase vampires from existence, something Stephen Strange did years ago. While this did not end up a successful mission, the students did end up connecting with Doctor Doom, who told them he could draw upon their magic to save the world.

Doctor Doom's Takeover of The Marvel Universe Begins, With 'The Rise of Emperor Doom' Making Him Earth's New Ruler
The age of Doctor Doom is officially under way, as Marvel prepares to make the Fantastic Four villain the literal ruler of the entire world in 2025.
Using "human, faltine, fairy, weirdworlder" magic, plus his newly acquired powers of the Sorcerer Supreme, Doom was able to take out the vampire menace... putting the entire world in his debt. It is still unclear how exactly Doom assumes control of the Academy, and his Doctor Voodoo will feel about it, but it seems clear that the students will look up to Victor, especially since Strange almost had them genocide an entire species. One majorly exciting detail that writer Cadenhead revealed is that they were able to draw out characters from Doom's past, and make up entirely new ones, to be students at Doom Academy, meaning the Strange Academy students are going to make a lot of new friends. The cover for the first issue shows two similar-looking youth in green cloaks, who might end up being the twins Dreamer and Ironcloak, from Doom's own personal X-Men team!
Zoe Laveau Will Play A Major Role In Doom Academy
The young hero will fall into a strange world of folklore and fairytales
In a fun twist, Doom Academy will also feature art from João Lemos, who will illustrate Zoe Laveau's adventure in another world, a world strange enough that it deserves its own artistic style. Inspired by Eastern European folklore and fairytales, researched by Lemos, the world that Zoe winds up in is a dangerous one... and she will need the help of her friends and classmates if she ever hopes to be rescued! Zoe - an undead girl with impressive magical abilities - has always been a major part of Strange Academy and played a key role in Midnight Suns, making her starring role in Doom Academy no surprise.
The rise of Emperor Doom is upon us, and one of Doctor Strange's greatest accomplishments has been twisted and warped, as the precious students of his Strange Academy leave New Orleans to make Latveria their new home, and Doom their new mentor.
Doom Academy #1 from Marvel Comics debuts on February 19th, 2025.
