Bruce Campbell is gunning for a role in Sam Raimi's Multiverse of Madness.
The news has definitely sparked some excitement, especially considering many fans still WandaVision is said to tie into the events of Multiverse of Madness. There have been numerous rumors about other characters who could be included in the film, from America Chavez to the villain Nightmare, but at the moment they remain rumors.
Following news of Raimi's confirmed position as director, his frequent collaborator and good friend Bruce Campbell took to Twitter to share his thoughts. Campbell seemed to express his interest in ing the film in some way by saying, "Surely, there must be SOME character to challenge the good Doctor..." Check out his message below:
Campbell and Raimi have been friends for a long, long time, and they've worked together on many projects. Most notably, Campbell starred in Raimi's all three of Raimi's Spider-Man films, further suggesting a role for Campbell in Multiverse of Madness could actually happen.
Multiverse of Madness was initially set for release in May 2021, but due to the coronavirus pandemic shifting much of the MCU's Phase Four, it has been moved to November 2021. Earlier reports suggested Multiverse of Madness was still on track to begin production in June, but it's unclear if its delayed release date will change that. Regardless of when, there's still an excellent chance Raimi could pull in Campbell for a role, even if it's a small one. Of course, many of the ing parts have yet to be cast, so Campbell could even be recruited for a sizable role. Only time will tell if Campbell and Raimi will get to forces once again.
