Based on the recently dropped teaser trailer, it looks like the  Rescue Rangers movie with Chip and Dale seems to be a veritable buffet of '90s nostalgia. With obvious influences from Who Framed Roger Rabbit, it's clear that the movie is going to have a large number of character cameos scattered throughout the production.

The '90s were a defining decade for Walt Disney Pictures, in more than just their TV shows and movies. Logic dictates that the movie will be absolutely loaded with appearances from old and familiar friends, some not seen since the age of Bubbletape and Super Nintendos.

The Genie (Aladdin)

Though it might be exceedingly difficult to truly recreate him in his entirety, there's a good possibility that Aladdin's Genie might make an appearance with his former master. Seeing as it looks as though Aladdin might be making an appearance, as shown by someone in his attire flying on a carpet, it wouldn't be unusual to see his big blue friend as well.

While it will, unfortunately, be without the versatile Robin Williams behind the character, there were few beings in Disney that represented the era better. He might only appear in a physical sense alone, but it would be a fun cameo to see.

Winnie The Pooh (The New Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh)

Winnie The Pooh might have existed well before the '90s but, like Chip and Dale, he was a prominent part of Disney's programming in The New Adventures of Winnie The Pooh. Since he's arguably one of the studio's most marketable characters, it wouldn't be weird to see him mixing and mingling with other animated characters.

Pooh might not be a party animal like Chip and Dale seem to be, but he could very well have a good time at the con the duo appear to visit. Though it would also be a little funny seeing him with Monterey Jack getting treatment for his Hunny Pot addiction.

Of The Mighty Ducks (Mighty Ducks)

This could go either way, but a reference to the movie of the same name, the animated series, or literal of the Anaheim Ducks could very well be in the mix. Since the Mighty Ducks movies were a big part of the decade and the animated series featuring the team's mascot was part of the Disney Afternoon, Chip and Dale could have a run-in with some form of the famous hockey team.

Fans of Disney Animation would absolutely flip their lids if of the animated series crossed over, but it's more plausible to assume that their live-action/NHL counterparts would pop in for an appearance. That being said, Wild Wing wouldn't be out of place amongst the other animated characters.

Hercules (Hercules)

He puts the glad in gladiator, and he was also one of Disney's biggest names in the '90s. If the studio really wants to go all out in of the nostalgia factor, they should feature an appearance from Hercules. Given the film's post-premiere popularity with the Disney fandom, it seems reasonable that everyone's favorite Wonderboy would make a return.

With modern audiences' love for superheroes like Thor, the Hulk, and so on, Herc would fit right in with a selection of celebrities for the comic con scene shown in the trailer. Perhaps even holding some "props" from his film as well.

Baloo And Kit (Talespin)

In the '90s, Baloo from Disney's TalespinThe show, along with series like Chip N' Dale: Rescue Rangers, were massive hits for Disney's TV lineup, so it's very possible that Baloo and his sidekick Kit got just as famous as the two chipmunks.

There are plenty of ways to explore the idea of the Talespin cast in a more modern world. Baloo could be a real pilot, a stunt performer, or a TV celebrity who's been living with flight anxiety since the show ended. Either way, the potential is unarguably there.

Darkwing Duck (Darkwing Duck)

Darkwing Duck was just one of Disney's many superheroes and another huge figure in the Disney Afternoon crew. Along with characters like the previously mentioned Hercules, a character as attention-hungry as Darkwing/Drake Mallard would jump at the chance to be a celebrity at a convention.

The opportunity is there, but it's up to Disney to deliver. Since a rebooted version of the character did make a prominent appearance in their Ducktales remake, a return of the terror that flaps in the night might definitely be in order.

Launchpad McQuack (Ducktales and Darkwing Duck)

Another easily-plausible '90s character would be Darkwing and Scrooge McDuck's sidekick, Launchpad. In the trailer, Scrooge McDuck is shown swimming in his vault of coins, as he is want to do, so Launchpad can't be too far behind.

Launchpad is one of Disney's best comic relief characters, in and out of the '90s. Like Scrooge McDuck, his appearance in the Ducktales reboot has introduced him to a new generation of fans who will more than enjoy an appearance from him alongside Chip and Dale, whether they grew up with the series or not.

Goliath (Gargoyles)

If there's one character whose live-action appearance is long overdue, it's Goliath. With its cult-favorite status, Gargoyles has needed a live-action incarnation for years, and there's perhaps no better opportunity to hint at an adaptation than by having the frontman of the group make an appearance with other '90s cartoon stars.

His appearance could be as serious or as comical as Disney desires, but there's no denying that the fanbase for both Disney and the Gargoyles series would greet it with a more than warm response. A daylight appearance might result in a statue cameo, but a scene of Goliath flying by night alongside the Ranger Plane would be some satisfying fanservice.

The Lion King Cast (The Lion King)

Considering the fact that Disney's most popular movies from the '90s, it wouldn't be wrong to assume that Simba and the rest of his Prideland entourage wouldn't be out of place in this love letter to the decade.

Seeing as how the film is still a massive success, the cast could be of the Hollywood Elite at this point. Even if it's just a special guest appearance from Timon and Pumbaa, a large nod to the animated jewel in Disney's crown is too much of a golden opportunity to neglect.

Goofy And/Or Max (Goof Troop and A Goofy Movie)

Both Roger Rabbit route, nobody takes a wallop like Goofy. It would be easy just to chalk both Goofy and his son Max up as more of Disney's animated celebrities, but a recreation of Powerline's dance might be the best way to satisfy the viewers.

With Disney's recent love of throwbacks, A Goofy Movie being one of the biggest, it's more than likely a safe bet that the pair will make an appearance, possibly during a flashback to the era. Here's hoping fans will start seeing things I2I very soon.
