The Digimon have enough power to be considered truly dangerous and threatening enough to put an entire planet at risk.
One of the few entities introduced into the series with the potential to end all lives is the main villain of the Digimon World 3 game, Galactimon. This imposing beast was a digital being from the deepest corners of space that came to Earth with the sole purpose of becoming more powerful. His quest almost caused the end of the planet, making it more dangerous than most of the Digimon anime’s villains.
Galactimon Is Digimon’s Most Dangerous Creature
The Villain Wanted To Use Earth as Data for His Body
Introduced during the story of the Digimon World 3 game, Galactimon is a digital alien with no emotions or personality. It is a Mega Level monster with the special ability to fuse with almost any object, creature, or cosmic entity to absorb its power and mass. When the player faces this beast at the end of the game, the creature merges with an artificial satellite, increasing to a size difficult for any human to imagine. Its main goal was to absorb the data of the planet to evolve into its next stage, the legendary Gaiamon.
This unknown Digimon, based on the Greek Primordial Deity that represented Earth, was supposed to be the most imposing and massive creature in the franchise. While the hero ultimately defeats Galactimon by the end of the game, the idea of such a being existing implies that it might not be the only one. The Digimon franchise has several world-ending creatures on its roster, even if none of them are as dangerous as Galactimon. Lamentably, the anime never reintroduced this impressive monster.
Galactimon Made a Comeback in Liberators
The Monster Was Seen in Recent Chapters of the Manga
As one of the most recent and successful projects the franchise has produced, Digimon Liberators is a manga and web novel that merges the increasingly popular TCG with the excitement of bonding with a Digimon partner. One of its most beloved traits is the fact that it has served as a way for many iconic but forgotten creatures to make their comeback. Galactimon is one of these Digimon, who made an appearance during the TCG World Tournament event of the series. It was used by the current champion, Zenith, to win the competition.

Digimon Has Great Monster Designs, But These 8 Are Easily the Most Badass
The Digimon franchise has hundreds of amazing creatures, but only some of their designs can be considered truly badass.
Although it has not made a physical appearance in the series since its role as a villain in Digimon World 3, Galactimon seems to still be present in the minds of Bandai’s writers. It is possible that the monster could soon make its official anime debut, as the franchise has been introducing game and manga-only villains. ZeedMilleniumon had its origins in the lesser-known Brave Tamer video game. Galactimon could become the main antagonist of the Digimon Beatbreak anime series.
Galactimon Might No Longer Be the Biggest Digimon
A Recent Fusion Could Have Stripped Its Title Away
While there is no denying that Galactimon is among the most intimidating and massive Digimon in the franchise, it can no longer claim to be the largest. The title, according to the official guidebook, belongs to the fusion between two of the lesser-known Gods of the Digital World, Dianamon and Apollomon. When these of the Olympos XII merge, they become GraceNovamon, a creature said to be as big as an entire Galaxy. This monster was introduced as a V-Pet exclusive in 2017, but it has increased in popularity over the years.
The size of this monster is such that many of its entries claim that there is no mechanism in existence to measure its size. Even if Galactimon had merged with Earth and become the ominous Gaiamon, its size would have paled in comparison to the deity of space. The existence of GraceNovamon is proof of why fans love this cherished franchise so much, as its concepts and designs continue to become more interesting and exciting for Digimon fans with time.
