10 Tanjiro & The Hand Demon
Episode 4, Season 1 "Final Selection"
When Tanjiro first started becoming a demon slayer, one of his first powerful demons was the hand demon during Final Selection. The demon was abnormally large and disfigured, with yellow eyes, red fingernails, olive-green skin, and multiple arms. The demon was imprisoned during the Edo period in Fujikasane mountain to serve as one of the various demons during Final Selection.
The demon was shameful and hungry, showing no remorse for the people that it killed, even some of Tanjiro's masters' subordinates. During this battle, Tanjiro learned to be quick on his feet and to not let his emotions get the best of him, because if he had let an ounce of emotion break his focus, then it would be over for him. Demon Slayer is a series filled with some of the saddest deaths in anime, and despite how evil the Hand Demon was, there's still an air of tragedy to the fight.
9 Tanjiro Headbutting Inosuke

Due to Inoskues' antics, Tanjiro had no other choice but to fight him. The two demon slayers began landing blows on each other, with both Inosuke and Tanjiro presenting great strength and agility in their contained area. Tanjiro made the final blow with an earth-shattering headbutt that even knocked Inoskue himself unconscious for only a little while.
8 Tanjiro vs. Enmu
Mugen Train
The battle between Tanjiro and Enmu was one of the toughest battles Tanjiro himself had to face. During this time, every demon slayer aboard the train was put into a deep sleep in a never ending cycle so that Enmu's subjects could dangerously impair the demon slayers. During the dream cycle, Tanjiro was haunted by his dead relatives, with Enmu manipulating their words and expressions.

With that, Tanjiro did what was necessary to break free from Enmu's hold and continue his duties on the train. With Tanjiro's sheer willpower and determination, alongside Inosuke's help, he manages to defeat Enmu and sever their head.

One Subtle Detail In Demon Slayer's Hashira Training Arc Finale Proves Why The Series Deserves All The Praise It Gets
Ubuyashiki and Muzan's meeting is much more impactful after noticing this one subtle detail.
With Shinobu's deadly poison, she swiftly took down Spider Sister with one stealth attack. The Spider Sister's greatest mistake was having the assumption that Shinobu wasn't a great threat to her in the first place, which led to her demise. Shinobu may not be the strongest of Demon Slayer's Hashira, but she's still an incredible threat the any demon.
6 Tanjiro & Kyogai's Strategic Battle
Episode 13, Season 2
In this scene, Tanjiro had to maneuver his way through Kyogai's confusing maze in his hideout and save a girl taken by the demon. Kyogai was a former Upper Moon, so this demon wasn't going to go lightly on Tanjiro, and he knew that. Every time the demon hit one of his drums, the whole house would suddenly change and go in any direction, making the prey confused and unbalanced, which is great news for the demon of the house.
To defeat Kyogai, Tanjiro used his quick thinking to save the kidnapped girl by having her go into a safer area while he fought Kyogai. With each tap of the drums, Tanjiro was swept in many directions as he tried to land a fatal blow on the demon. Shortly after, Tanjiro figured out the demon's tactics and used his water breathing technique to slay the demon. The fights did a great job of showing Tanjiro adapt to a demon's unpredictable abilities, cementing Tanjiro Vs. Kyogai as one of Demon Slayer's most epic fights.
5 Tanjiro, Nezuko, & Yushiro vs Susamaru and Yahaba
Episode 9, Season 1
During this time, Tanjiro and Nezuko meet Tamayo and Yushiro after running into Muzan in the bustling city. Tamayo has long defied Muzan after being separated from him with the help of Yoriichi.
Susamaru's English voice actor, Sarah Anne Williams, is also known for her roles as Neferpitou in Hunter x Hunter and as Sayaka Miki in Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
Meanwhile, Susamaru and Yahaba paid them a visit and battled them all with the intention of killing Tanjiro. The pair were a challenge, even for Yushiro and Nezuko losing a leg and even their whole head. The pair proved to be difficult to defeat, but with the help of Yushiro's spell and Nezuko's resilience, they were able to defeat Susamaru and Yahaba at their own game. The brawl really showcased Tanjiro and Nezuko's capability as a fighting team, cementing it as an all-time classic Demon Slayer fight.
4 Rengoku vs. Akaza
Mugen Train
Rengoku is tasked to go on a mission and defeat an upper moon demon on the Mugen train with Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu tagging along. Not long after getting their tickets punched, the demon slayers are forced into a deep sleep, not knowing that the tickets were tainted by a powerful demon named Enmu. Rengoku managed to break free from the never-endless dream cycle of his own instinct. Shortly after Enmu was defeated, Akaza appeared in the battle, showing no signs of backing down.

Demon Slayer's Most Twisted Backstory Was Never Shown in the Series
Upper Moon 5 Gyokko's backstory in Demon Slayer, revealed in the series' official fanbook, revealed that he was twisted even as a human.
Unfortunately, during the fight, Rengoku took a fatal blow to the chest, severely affecting him in battle. This battle was tough, even for Rengoku, but he stayed resilient and battled through his mortal injuries to protect everyone around him. This battle was visually stunning, but also emotionally draining, as all anime fans know what happened after the battle had ended. Rengoku's death in Mugen Train is one of the most iconic moments in Demon Slayer, so it's only natural the Flame Hashira's final sacrifice would rank among the series' greatest fighting moments.

During this, Nezuko went through a powerful transition and became even more powerful than she already was in her original demon form with vine-like markings around her body and Nezuko growing twice her size.
Enraged, Nezuko slams her foot into Daki's back and repeatedly stomps on her with a sadistic smile, followed by Nezuko's other blood demon art called exploding blood, which lit Daki's entire body in flames. The battle lasted for quite a while with Nezuko dodging Daki's attacks and landing powerful blows onto Daki herself. This fight brought out amazing visual effects paired with beautiful color grading.
2 Mitsuri vs Hantengu & His Clones
Episode 10, Season 3
The battle between Mitsuri and Hantengu and his clones was truly spectacular. Having snuck up on Tanjiro and Muichiro, the demon posed an even greater threat in the beginning. Hantengu appears as a thin skeleton-like body that looks weak with a very noticeable lump on his head. The demon even split himself into different emotions, which made fighting him even more impossible as time went on. The Upper Moon demon was very difficult to battle alongsideTanjiro, Genya, and Nezuko, but Mitsuri proved her worth and handled the battle with grace and resilience.
Mitsuri endured the battle with Hantengu, giving the battle her all even when faced with certain death. Mitsuri used her Love Breathing technique, which helped Tanjiro defeat Hantengu and his clones once and for all, putting the never ending battle at a complete standstill. Mitsuri doesn't get as many times to shine throughout Demon Slayer as some of the other Hashira, making her battle against Hantengu all the more impactful.
1 Uzui & Tanjiro vs. Gyutaro
Episode 17, Season 2
The greatest fight moment in Demon Slayer has to go to the intense battle between Tanjiro, Uzui, and Gyutaro in the Entertainment District Arc. No battle comes close to this one with its stunning visuals and effects. The episode's amazing fighting choreography alone gave this fight the number one spot. This battle showed off Uzui's strength and skills as a Hashira, using his own breath of sound in attempts to defeat Gyutaro and put an end to his antics.
Uzui saved Tanjiro's life in the process and even controlled his own fatal injuries when injected with poison from Gyutaro's sickles. This battle was a close one, and it would have ended very differently if Uzui weren't there. Out of all the Demon Slayer battles, this one has made a great impact on fans of the anime and set the bar for future battles to come.
