Warning: Contains spoilers for Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training

Throughout Demon Slayer, Muzan Kibutsuji, King of the Demons, has been established as the most formidable threat the Demon Slayers face. He rules over all the immensely powerful Upper Rank demons and poses a terrifying threat to humankind. The Demon Slayers have been fighting towards defeating him for many years, but no one has come close to eliminating the murderous tyrant yet.

However, a shocking reveal in the ending scene of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - To The Hashira Training movie reveals a character who could potentially take him down in a way he'd never expect. The scene features Lady Tamayo being approached by a crow who belongs to Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps.

The crow gives Tamayo a message, requesting her help in creating a poison to defeat Muzan once and for all. This moment was a huge and unexpected surprise for fans, and may finally offer the Demon Slayers hope of conquering their enemy.

Lady Tamayo Will Be Instrumental In The Fight Against Muzan

Tamayo has great medical skills and extensive knowledge of demon science

Kagaya's offer certainly shocked Tamayo. She is a demon and never expected humans to work with her, having hidden away from humanity in shame after being transformed into a demon by Muzan. However, her demon identity actually offers her a unique benefit in this situation. She has substantial knowledge of the science of demons and how their bodies work, both from being around them and being one herself. By collaborating with Insect Hashira Shinobu, who is very talented at creating medicines and poisons, the two talented individuals can concoct a dangerous potion that will work effectively on a demon like Muzan.

Tamayo also held a relevant position previously: she once served as a servant to Muzan. Since Tamayo is one of the few creatures, human or demon, who has interacted up close and personal with the Demon King and survived, she likely possesses insider knowledge of his habits and behavior that may give her an advantage. He would certainly never accept the weakening poison she and Shinobu create willingly, and Tamayo did betray him in the past by attempting to murder him, damaging the trust between the two demons. However, Tamayo still knows him better than anyone else in the Demon Slayer Corps.

Tamayo's Hatred For Muzan Gives Her The Determination To Defeat Him

The talented doctor knows specifics about Muzan better than any member of the Demon Slayer Corps, since at this time, he largely remains a mystery to their organization. This makes her the most likely to devise a way to trick the evil being. It certainly will not be an easy feat, but Tamayo possesses the drive and motivation to handle the task, which will only spur her on further. Muzan betrayed her in the past, claiming he would help heal the illness she was suffering from, but instead turned her into a demon and caused her to murder her beloved family.

Muzan is the most powerful demon in the series, so it would be foolish to underestimate him. The Demon Slayers are wise to be cautious; he will not be easy to defeat. However, Tamayo's introduction to the team offers a phenomenal chance at catching him off guard. He won't be expecting her to team up with humans, and she possesses the demon bodily knowledge and driving motivation to give her a fair shot at winning. Tamayo's goal since Muzan ruined her life has been retaliation, and this invitation to participate in the plan may make this dream come true in the much-anticipated season four of Demon Slayer.
