Most enemies in Blasphemous pack an ample punch, but few of them are as formidable as Amanecida of the Golden Blades. Do not underestimate this guy's power based on his size. While this boss isn't a massive behemoth like many of the heavy hitters in the game, he has powers that turn the stone ground into gravel.
Amanecida of the Golden Blades is one of the most dangerous enemies in The Stir of Dawn DLC. He utilizes a great many attacks that force the player to evade, due to a severely warped environment. This makes him quite difficult to land attacks on. Players with quick wits can take on this enemy with little issue. Here's how to defeat Amanecida of the Golden Blades in Blasphemous.
Defeating Amanecida of the Golden Blades in Blasphemous
As with all of the Amanecida fights, the boss will begin by charging up their armor shell. Leap into the air to slash at the shield as many times as possible before the first attack. The boss's first attack will likely be a downward charge with a large axe. Slide out of the way of this attack, because it does massive damage right at the beginning of the fight. This boss has a handful of common attacks that they will rely on throughout most of the fight. These attacks are based heavily on the brute strength of the boss and should be dodged whenever possible, as opposed to blocked.
The first major attack involves the boss throwing their axe to the ground. The axe will spin toward the player. Jump and dodge forward to avoid this, and don't be fooled by the false direction change. The other common attack is one that involves the boss spinning toward the ground, sending a shockwave toward the player. This shockwave will lift the ground as it moves to prevent the player from blocking it from a stationary position without damage. Jump over this attack, but time it properly so there is no residual damage from the rest of the wave. This wave attack will be performed repeatedly on either side of the room so be prepared to time your jumps.
After a significant amount of damage, pillars of fire will appear on both sides of the room. These will limit movement, so be careful when sliding out of the way of attacks. These pillars will increase in number as the fight nears to its close. The boss will become more aggressive during this time, and the distance between attacks will decrease. This is the most dangerous period of the fight so stay alert and everything will be fine.
