Supermassive Games, developer of Dark Pictures Anthology Season 1 finale, and now the game has a definitive release window.

Since it kicked off in 2019, The Dark Pictures Anthology has delivered three interactive survival horror experiences with their own distinct casts and settings. Similar to other Supermassive Games projects like The Quarry, these title serve as cinematic horror experiences where players make choices that affect the outcome of the story. 2019's Man of Medan features pirates and a ghost ship, 2020's Little Hope incorporates demons and 2021's House of Ashes explores ancient Mesopotamian vampires. The Dark Pictures Anthology is also known for its celebrity casts, with Shawn Ashmore, Will Poulter and Ashley Tisdale starring in the first three games. The next Dark Picture will star Jessie Buckley, with The Devil in Me serving as the fourth and final game in the anthology's first season.

A new trailer for The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me, and a Fall 2022 release window for the game, has been revealed by Supermassive Games via Twitter. The trailer seems to tease a less supernatural threat than previous installments in the anthology, with The Devil in Me instead pitting players against a killer who uses deadly booby traps set up throughout a stately old hotel. The trailer looks like a combination of Saw and The Shining, though the game's story will no doubt have some big twists and turns. The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me will conclude the series' first season in Fall 2022.

Between installments of The Dark Pictures Anthology, Supermassive Games released the sinister horror game The Quarry back in June. The game serves as a successor to Until Dawn, sharing the interactive survival and drama setup that fans have grown to know and love. The Quarry sees an all-star cast of actors, including Brenda Song and David Arquette, fight to survive a night at the Hackett's Quarry summer camp. The Quarry has many different endings based on player actions, with each character able to meet many different gruesome ends.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me will give fans a terrifying new scenario to overcome through bravery and quick thinking. The game will end the series' first season, but Supermassive Games apparently has many follow-up installments already planned. Players can explore The Devil in Me and its creepy hotel once the interactive drama releases in Fall 2022.
