Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Venom War: Daredevil #1! the Venom War crossover event, regular people aren’t just getting possessed by Venom’s offspring, but are quite literally becoming zombies - or, zombiotes. However, as scary as they will prove to be, it is the zombiotes that should be afraid of Daredevil.
In a preview shared by AIPT Comics for Venom War: Daredevil #1 by Christopher Condon and Lan Medina, readers are given an art-only first look at Daredevil’s contribution to this planet-wide conflict - both Daredevils, actually. Right now in Marvel Comics canon, Elektra is the continuity’s main Daredevil, while Matt Murdock has taken a back seat to find himself after his death and subsequent resurrection. However, Matt doesn’t have the luxury of attempting to live the simple life when zombiotes attack, and Elektra’s Daredevil is right there with him.
In this preview, Matt (currently out of costume) is trying to save the lives of a group of people being attacked by zombiotes. Then, Elektra’s Daredevil leaps from a building above and lands right on top of one of the creatures, smashing its face into the ground. As she becomes surrounded, Daredevil uses her signature twin sai in an all-new way. Elektra has electrified the sai, and with a single jolt, she rids a human host of his symbiote in an instant.

Venom & Iron Man's Ultimate Forms Go to War, Unleashing EVERY Superpower in Marvel Canon
Venom and Iron Man are two of Marvel Comics' strongest heroes, and they've never been more powerful than when they go to war against each other.
Daredevil’s Electrified Sai is the Perfect Anti-Venom Weapon
As shown in this preview, Daredevil can take down a zombiote with a single attack, and she can do so while ensuring that the innocent person the symbiote is inhabiting remains unharmed. The preview also points out how Elektra’s reach can extend far beyond taking down one zombiote at a time with this weapon, as she electrified a water puddle the zombiote was standing in to defeat it, meaning she can presumably do the same to numerous enemies at once given the right conductive circumstances.
Not only that, but Elektra can finally be her true self while also honoring the legacy of her current Daredevil moniker. Since becoming Daredevil, Elektra has had to hold back immensely while fighting enemies - ie, she doesn’t kill. She even got new twin sai with dull blades to mitigate her lethalness. But now, Elektra can go all-out on these zombiotes the way she used to with anyone who dared challenge her before she became Daredevil. Indeed, most of the zombiotes are undead corpses puppeted by symbiotes, and Elektra is free to use her signature weapon as intended once again.
Elektra’s Anti-Venom Weapon Could Save Matt Murdock (If He Befalls a Familiar Fate)
Daredevil Vol. 6 #26-27
Daredevil’s new anti-Venom weapon will undoubtedly help save the lives of countless people, both those who are possessed by symbiotes and those the zombiotes are attacking, but the electrified sai might also save someone much closer to her: Matt Murdock. Matt was taken over by a symbiote when Knull attacked the world during the King in Black crossover event, and he’s just as vulnerable during this symbiote outbreak. So, if Matt befalls that familiar fate, Elektra (and her electrified sai) may be the only one who can save him.
No matter how Daredevil might use this weapon in the future, the preview for Venom War: Daredevil #1 already proves that she wields the perfect anti-Venom weapon, as she took down a symbiote and saved its host with a single shot. Plus, this weapon is permanent given that it’s an upgrade made to her sai, which is always by her side. That means she always has an anti-Venom contingency for any future scenarios where the symbiote steps out of line, making Daredevil’s new weapon even more badass.
