Warning! Spoilers ahead for Daredevil #16!
Daredevil's sin just cost them something extremely important to them.
In Daredevil #16 by Saladin Ahmed and Aaron Kuder, Daredevil's best friend Foggy is under the influence of Pride and unfortunately, thanks to Daredevil renouncing God, the Man Without Fear cannot exorcise his pal. Worse, the corrupted Foggy is suing Matt and attempting to shutter the home that Daredevil runs for abandoned youths.
Daredevil can do nothing other than patrol the streets and look for people in need. However, Matt picks up on Bullseye's scent and follows it to an alley. However, instead of finding the assassin, Daredevil only finds Bullseye's arm lying on the ground, disintegrating.
Daredevil's Nemesis Bullseye Just Lost His Arm
Judging By the State of It, Bullseye Isn't Getting it Back
Daredevil got a second chance at life after literally going to Hell, and the powers that be brought him back as a priest. However, Matt's soul was fractured and pieces of it were corrupted by the Seven Deadly Sins. Worse, these sins started to infect people in Matt's life. However, with God's word, Daredevil was able to exorcise these demons, but the pressures of the Sins' attacks became too much for Matt to bear, causing him to lose his faith in God. Unfortunately, he lost it at the worst moment as Wrath began tearing its way through Daredevil's neighborhood.
While it appears that Bullseye got away with his life, this is a pretty serious injury, and it doesn't look like he's going to get that arm back. A large chunk of it is missing, and muscle and bone is exposed. Even if he got the arm back and doctors were able to repair that substantial damage, there's a good chance that Bullseye is never going to be at 100% again. For someone who prides himself on being one of the deadliest killers in the Marvel Universe, this injury is almost certainly going to change things for Daredevil's nemesis.
Marvel's Most Lethal Assassin Suffers a Career-Ending Injury
But Maybe That's a Good Thing for Everyone
If this injury does put a cramp in Bullseye's assassination skills, that's ultimately probably a good thing for the Marvel Universe at large. Then again, assuming Bullseye still has his other arm, he might get along just fine. Regardless, it'll be interesting to see how he adapts to this permanent injury. Will he simply get by with one or come back with a robotic and possibly weaponized one later (God help the innocents of Marvel if it's the latter). Whatever the future holds, Daredevil's enemy is going to have to make some big changes. If he's still alive, that is.
Daredevil #16 is available now from Marvel Comics.
