Cyberpunk 2077 wastes no time in letting players know that fist fighting is sometimes just as effective as a pistol or rifle, and there's a whole questline devoted to fisticuffs that requires a number of tough fights to complete. One of the first tutorials in the game is on the mechanics of fist fighting, and the hand-to-hand combat only gets more intense from there. By the end of the game, V can be kitted out in a way that makes them more deadly with their fists than an entire squad of Arasaka ninjas with katanas.

After the training fight in the early hours of Cyberpunk 2077, V gets an offer from their friend Coach Fred. In exchange for a percentage of the winnings and organizing the events, Coach Fred gives V access to the questline involving underground fist fights around Night City. These quests take V from the rooftops of Kabuki to a grand finale in an abandoned mall, all without ditching Cyberpunk 2077's Night City, and V will need all the skill and fighting spirit they can muster if they want to reign supreme in the street fighting scene.

In order to complete all the fist fights in Cyberpunk 2077, V will need to make their way all around Night City. There are fights in many of the city's major districts, and V will need to complete 4 of these fights to unlock the final bout. Each fight features a new opponent (or opponents in one case), and each has their own unique twist on the standard formula. There's even a bonus fight unlocked after an unrelated side quest. Defeating all the opponents will require skill, determination, and the best cyberware in Cyberpunk 2077, but with all that and the drive to win, V can rule the roost and make a pretty penny while they're at it.

The Kabuki Fight In Cyberpunk 2077 Will Have V Seeing Double

Cyberpunk 2077 Beat On The Brat Kabuki

The first fight available to V after the fighting tutorial takes place in Kabuki, and has V squaring off against two(ish) opponents. Certo and Esquerdo were twins that wanted to become closer, so had their brains synchronized to think, act, and fight as one unit. With multiple opponents, V can choose to double the wager on the fight to compensate, making this one of the more lucrative fights. During the fight, V has to knock both "twins" out in order to win, so managing their separate health pools is key. Unfortunately, this is one bit of cyberware that V won't have access to on a second Cyberpunk 2077 playthrough. Once the final blow is landed, the twins will have a moment together before issuing V's payout.

Cyberpunk 2077's Arroyo Fight Has Big Attitude & A Rifle To Match

Cyberpunk 2077 Beat On The Brat Arroyo

Located in a seedy patch in Cyberpunk 2077's run-down Arroyo district is Buck, a member of the 6th Street gang and V's opponent for the fight. Buck served in the military for a time, and came away with some hefty combat implants and a unique sniper rifle. Players with 18,000 Eurodollars and a 12 in their Body stat can notice this rifle upon first meeting Buck, and bring it to the table as a wager on the fight. Once the battle begins, players need to be wary of Buck's heavy hits, and remain mobile and fast in order to win. Once Buck loses, he gives V their winnings and tells them to leave. If his rifle, one of the best unique Sniper Rifles in Cyberpunk 2077, was put up for wager, he and his buddies will attack V with more traditional Night City methods, i.e. firearms. V is free to retaliate in kind and collect the rifle and their winnings from the bodies once the shooting stops.

The Glen Fight In Cyberpunk 2077 Is High Stakes For Both Contenders

Cyberpunk 2077 Beat On The Brat The Glen

César Diego Ruiz is a man with a big ego, big dreams, and big problems. His girlfriend Micaela is pregnant with their child, and begs him to get a real job and quit risking everything they have on their fights. V walks into one of these lovers' quarrels when they show up for their turn in the ring with César. Instead of money César will stake his vehicle, one of Cyberpunk 2077's free cars, against 20,000 Eurodollars from V.

Once the fight begins, V will need to whittle down a hefty health pool from César while avoiding powerful attacks, making him a fighter not to be trifled with at low levels. Once defeated, V has a choice. They can choose to take all their winnings and leave César destitute, or leave him any combination of the car and the winnings. César is grateful should this be the case, and even remarks that he wants his child's name to start with "V" in their honor.

The Rancho Coronado Fight In Cyberpunk 2077 Pits V Against A Real Animal\

Cyberpunk 2077 Beat On The Brat Rancho Coronado

The Rancho Coronado contender is Rhino, a member of the Animals, a Cyberpunk 2077 gang which doesn't make any sense, and an imposing figure. There are no stakes for the fight, as Rhino claims the fight is only for bragging rights or straight out for fun. Once V is able to get through their harrowing offense and win the day, a melee weapons shop becomes available to them.

The Pacifica Fight Sees Cyberpunk 2077's V Clowning Around

Cyberpunk 2077 Beat On The Brat Pacifica

Available after completing Cyberpunk 2077's main quest Transmission as well as the resulting side quest Send In The Clowns, this fight takes place in Pacifica against Ozob Bozo, a man who strikes a humorous figure even with (or maybe because of) the grenade lodged in his nasal cavity. This grenade proves to be one of the more tricky aspects of the fight, as if V hits it too much, it will detonate and kill Ozob and potentially V. Much like finding Ozob's clown car outside Cyberpunk 2077 missions, this fight isn't necessary for completing the main questline, but it is a funny aside for those looking for a laugh.

Cyberpunk 2077's Razor Hugh Is The Toughest Opponent V Faces In Fisticuffs

Cyberpunk 2077 Beat On The Brat Razor Hugh

At the culmination of the Beat On The Brat questline is a title fight against Razor Hugh, Cyberpunk 2077's reigning champion fighter. Hugh is kitted out with enough cyberware to stock an army, and is able to down V in one to two hits if they aren't careful. Combine this with his ability to heal up to half health when he hits 10% health or lower, and V is in for one hell of a fight.

With enough determination, V is able to carry the day, though they may not want to. Razor's manager approaches V before the fight and offers them more than the payout they would get for winning if they take a dive. This could be a ticket to earn more money the fast way in Cyberpunk 2077. For those who want to be the top dog of Night City Fights though, there's only one way there, and it's through Razor's ironclad defense and shattering offense.

The "Beat On The Brat" questline in Cyberpunk 2077 is a nice diversion from the race against time V finds themselves in during the main campaign. The right cyberware can make the fights much more manageable, and the payouts are well worth the effort. With a variety of colorful opponents, each with their own unique spin on their fights, players are sure to enjoy this fisticuffs-focused questline.
