Almond Cookie is a cookie of epic rarity released in Cookie Run: Kingdom's "Beacons of Unity" update. He has been a fan favorite for quite some time due to his large role in the guild battle story and personality, having a snarky exterior and softer interior. He's also one of the few characters originating from CRK to appear as a playable character in Ovenbreak.

He's a cookie in Cookie Run: Kingdom who defaults to the rear of the team. He is most useful in the early stages of world exploration and has most commonly been used in team compositions that include Gingerbrave and Tiger Lily Cookie. However, you will rarely see a need for him now, even though his skill can be quite powerful if used correctly. How should you build Almond Cookie to make the most of his skill in Cookie Run: Kingdom?

Solid Almond Toppings Work The Best In The Modern Game

Almond Cookie's skill "Almond Handcuffs" apprehends the enemy with the lowest HP, prioritizing cookies first. This deals a large amount of earth damage and disperses some of the damage dealt to up to five linked enemies.

This damage link cannot be interrupted. Unfortunately, with the release of new cookies, this ability is not as useful as it once was, and Almond Cookie is generally not the best cookie to use in the arena. However, this may change in the future if he receives a magic candy, as his ability to make damage more widespread seems overpowered in theory.

Almond Cookie is part of a secret Boss Rush deck along with Cream Puff and Latte Cookie.

Though he can deal a fair amount of damage, he cannot be used as a solitary damage dealer in most situations. In the few scenarios where his damage link is useful, you will want to keep the effect active for as long as possible - to do so, you should apply swift chocolates to lower his cooldown. Solid almonds are also a good choice since he has particularly low defense and can be defeated quite easily. I'd recommend mixing both or looking out for cooldown substats on almond toppings.

A Legendary Heart Beascuit Focused On Damage Resistance

Cookie Run Kingdom Legendary Hearty Beascuit

Almond Cookie's ability is focused on earth damage, so he'll benefit the most from a Legendary Earthen Hearty Beascuit. This means he'll also benefit from Awakened Golden Cheese Cookie as a team leader. However, if you're particularly lacking in defense or cooldown stats, you may want to use a non-elemental Beascuit for an extra non-damage related substat. Similarly to toppings, you will want to look out for cooldown and damage resistance substats.

Other substats that increase his longevity can also be useful, such as defense, HP, and debuff resistance. However, damage resistance is the most effective in helping cookies survive battles. Attack and attack speed will also benefit him, but this risks a shorter lifetime. Even though Almond Cookie currently doesn't have much of a place in many meta teams and isn't the best cookie to use, it's no wonder he's a fan favorite, and it would be no surprise to see him receive some buffs or a magic candy in the future of Cookie Run: Kingdom.
