In a year that is, to say the least, freshly restored FMV cut scenes. When a series ends up having Tim Curry as a communist proudly yelling "Space," it is clear that being taken too seriously was never the intention - a choice that is, by all s, an enduring and endearing success.
Very much in line with this undeniable sense of fun is the, and this is written with love, off-the-wall whacky secret dinosaur missions. The bonus campaign pits commanders against the "strange animals" found in a Funpark (what could that be a reference to?), testing steel and fire against prehistoric fury in a beautifully anachronistic dust-up. Obviously a high point of an already solid game, this mode encapsulates the series ability to blend precision strategy and resource management with sheer absurdist fun. The missions are tucked away, fittingly like a fossil, that rewards inquisitive players for poking around. This guide aims to give players a map, explaining how to unlock the reptilian levels. Read on and prepare to sink teeth into a new challenge (of avoiding having teeth sunk into the player).
Command & Conquer Remastered: Unlocking the Dino Mission
The dino missions are actually fairly easy to unlock once the player knows where to look. They are located in the remaster of the original Command & Conquer game. At the main menu, hold shift and left-click the bolts around the central . If done properly, each click should cause a dinosaur roar to play. Once all four clicked, open the mission select menu - there will be a new mission called "Funpark 01." Jump into the dinosaur action from there, but do not feel any pressure to rush in - once the bolts are clicked, the mission is unlocked permanently and will be available on future boots of the game. The missions add an extra challenge and a bit more playtime to an already eminently replayable campaign - definitely worth the bit of poking around it takes to find.
Command & Conquer Remastered is available now on PC.
