In May 2024, it was announced that Verity is being developed into a movie by Amazon MGM Studios. Michael Showalter, who previously worked on The Big Sick, Wet Hot American Summer, and The Idea of You, is set to direct. So far, Verity's cast includes Anne Hathaway as Verity, Dakota Johnson as Lowen, and Josh Hartnett as Jeremy. Verity is not only exciting because of its immense popularity, but because it is one of Hoover's only thriller novels. Though romance does play a role, this movie is going to be creepy and shocking.

Once again, Regretting You stands out because it isn't just a pure romance novel, but delves into mother-daughter relationships and grief. The only solace she can find is in a bar owner named Ledger, who is willing to help reconnect her family. The only problem is, Kenna can't help but develop feelings for Ledger, making her situation all the more complicated.

Despite having no cast attached, this is the one Hoover movie adaptation that has some form of a release date. Reminders of Him is set to premiere in 2026, and is being produced by Universal.
