After heavy teases, Warzone's wide array of operators and skins - including some modeled after horror movie characters Jigsaw and Leatherface - has made the franchise more profitable than ever, and Activision seems keen to lean all the way into the money-printing trend with classic action movie stars in Call of Duty.

The spree of rumors, leaks, and increasingly heavy-handed teases by Call of Duty on social media may have made the arrival of First Blood-era John Rambo and Die Hard's John McClane skins feel prolonged, but their existence was only known for a relatively short time before being officially hinted at. A rumor about a First Blood quote, "To survive a war, you gotta become war."

Most recently, convincing Call of Duty screenshots of Rambo and Die Hard skins leaked online, seeming to prompt an even more thinly veiled tease from Call of Duty's Twitter telling players to prepare for May 20, the start of the '80s Action Heroes event. A Tuesday trailer on the Call of Duty YouTube channel has finally confirmed the inclusion and appearance of Rambo's skin in a new trailer for Call of Duty: WarzoneBlack Ops Cold War, and Mobile players.

It's an altogether short trailer, serving as more of a teaser of the Rambo skin's official look. It's also sampler of the irreverent grindhouse tone Call of Duty's '80s Action Heroes event seems to be after, adding some levity to counterbalance the more serious nature of Warzone's Hunt for Adler. John Rambo's model looks slightly better than the aforementioned model, but some of the best look at the skin in the trailer appears to be prerendered footage so the comparison is hard to make. If accurate, however, it seems that the leaked model's narrow build may be a bit a more muscular (and therefore in line with how Sylvester Stallone looked in First Blood). Another huge nod is made to the rumored John McClane skin in the teaser, as the narrator unsubtly implies the character is next for the Call of Duty treatment when namedropping the 1988 classic.

While some may have expected more skins to be revealed at once in a greater demonstration of the crossover potential Call of Duty is tapping into, a character-by-character approach could allow Activision to stretch out its '80s Action Heroes content rollout. With Rambo revealed and John McClane all but confirmed, the only rumored skin missing so far is Terminator, but it likely won't be long until Arnold Schwarzenegger's iconic T-800 and possibly more skins make their way into Warzone and its sister entries.
