Editor’s Note: A lawsuit has been filed against Activision Blizzard by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, which alleges the company has engaged in abuse, discrimination, and retaliation against its female employees. Activision Blizzard has denied the allegations. The full details of the Activision Blizzard lawsuit (content warning: rape, suicide, abuse, harassment) are being updated as new information becomes available.

Due to a spectator cam glitch, a player managed to explore Call of Duty: Vanguard's first season of content. An announcement from late last week confirmed, however, that the map and fresh content rollout will now launch several days later on December 8.

Notably, Vanguard players will gain access to the Caldera location first in an early preview period. Everyone else can begin diving in the following day on December 9, Activision and Co. recently revealed. A roap for Season 1 also teased the coming arrival of additional modes, extra weapons, new gear, and Zombies-related updates. The specifics remain under lock and key for now, though developers will more than likely begin sharing details in the days leading up to Vanguard Season 1's early December release.

While playing a match on Vanguard's Shipment map, YouTuber and streamer JGOD (via VGC) glitched through the spectator cam to get an early look at an unrendered version of the Pacific map Caldera. The sneak peek video lasts about a minute long in which the player soars over the area, catching sight of a beachfront, several mid-sized buildings, mountains in the distance, and warships sitting beyond the coastline not too far from a lighthouse. Other warships sit docked a little further out along the outskirts of what appears to be a shipping yard. See the full video in the Twitter post linked below:

VGC notes this particular type of glitch isn't unusual for Call of Duty. In fact, a similar spectator cam bug prematurely outed Warzone's origianl Verdansk map in 2019 before the official unveiling. History has, thus, repeated itself, though the wait for the fully rendered Caldera locale is quickly coming to an end.

The free-to-play Warzone hit consoles and PC in March 2020, inviting players to in on a different type of Call of Duty-branded experience. It's since proven a boon to Activision's bottom line, with the multiplayer suite reportedly raking in approxiamtely $5 million per day in revenue. Warzone will undoubtedly stick around for a long time to come.
