Two TiMi Studios earned $10 billion in revenue, easily becoming the world's most profitable development house in the last year.
The game's popularity will likely expand further as Activision and TiMi Studios continue to deploy new content drops. In fact, the current season of content, Season 3, comes to a close this week on May 26, meaning Season 4 could roll out shortly thereafter. COD: Mobile's season heralds the advent of Modern Warfare 3's Dome map, the Capture the Gold game mode, as well as a host of balance changes and adjustments. A couple of other noteworthy additions are incoming, too.
Over the weekend, Call of Duty: Mobile's official Twitter informed fans that two extra guns will the roster during the next season. Charlie INTEL identified the weapons in question as the Holger 26 and the MK2 Carbine, both of which are featured in COD: Modern Warfare and Warzone. The weapons are pictured in the image below, submerged in sand and captioned with "One's trash... is another's treasure."
A lever-action marksman rifle, the MK2 Carbine will fit right at home in COD: Mobile's Wild West-themed fourth season, which is also known as Spurned and Burned. The Holger 26 should work well to keep enemies at bay as well, given its Light Machine Gun qualities.
Call of Duty: Mobile first hit Android and iOS in the fall of 2019, bringing the world of Activision's flagship first-person shooter to mobile devices. It's made quite the dent on the mobile market in the nearly two years since then, too. In addition to raking in a lot of dough for developer TiMi Studios, Call of Duty: Mobile recently sured a staggering 500 million s worldwide. Activision confirmed the milestone earlier this month and offered players 10 free Radio Current Crates as a token of thanks.
Call of Duty: Mobile is available as a free-to-play title for Android and iOS devices; Modern Warfare is out on PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms.
